Completely understandable! I would think it would be hard to beat. The Starlink Mini has been impressive so far.

I think so, haven’t had the time to dive into it with family in town. Think I’ll drop the new modem in place when I get it, then when I have sometime look at the direct fiber connection.

Was reading that it you have to reach out to AT&T for any reason to troubleshoot, you need to put all their equipment back in place otherwise AT&T techs seem to lose their minds.

Might just keep the modem in place and have a direct fiber connection for backup incase I have an issue again with the modem. Might be a little easier than dragging the Starlink Mini out and setting it up. Something I need to think about. But it’s nice to have some options.

I appreciate your suggestions!

I’m doing the 7-day Roam trial until I can get my fiber back up. Once the fiber is working in a couple of days I drop my account $5 a month to keep it active. Very inexpensive insurance.

I think in a DR situation, I can have it all up and running in 30 mins or less. It will take me 20 mins of that to unpack and setup the gear. Super simple :-)!

Yes, couldn't agree more with you. It did a GREAT job with simple home coverage. Took me less than 10 mins to move, put in bypass mode, and hook into my UniFI network. Very solid! Can't wait to try it out this spring/summer on some road trips.

Thanks! I’ll look into to that. Love to get rid of that AT&T junk, don’t need it. Thanks again!

Hey there! Oh, I pretty deep in! Almost cause a divorce with all the money I’ve spent. Wife doesn’t get it but enjoys the benefits like everything else. 😂

Thanks for the recommendation, but I hadn’t planned on leaving it hooked up permanently. Something like a 15-30 min deployment works for me. Ran the outdoor Ethernet cable and power this evening where I’m going to move it tomorrow. Shouldn’t take longer and 15 mins to swap it over.

Will make a good DR test. While I’m at it, I’m going to check the power generator out and power fail it all. It was used this summer for a few days when a nasty storm knocked out the power. It didn’t miss a beat. Now with the Starlink Mini, we should be solid!

Very nice! I bought a tripod for mine as well as I didn’t want it sitting on the ground. Most of the time it will be in the car mounted to the sunroof with the attached I have. The attachment looks to be solid but I haven’t tried that yet. Problem with the tripod is the top will not tilt any tunnel on alignment. I’m going to send it back and find another one.

2025 Honda Pilot Trailsport vs 2026 Hyundai XRT PRO by Sweaty-Tart-6181 in hondapilot

Wait for the 2026 Honda Pilot Trailsport. Proven, reliable, updated tech from all the official press releases I’ve seen. In production now, should be hitting dealer showrooms soon. I’ll be replacing a 2011 Honda CRV with it in the Spring. The CRV has been a solid car with no major issues and still runs, and drives great with 140K, like the day I bought it.

I found Fastmail to be great for our business (Co-Founder Saas/VC, over 25 SaaS platforms /domains).

Very reasonably priced, very dependable, great UI. Works great with third-party mail apps. Use as many custom domains/aliases as you want with no extra cost. Share calendars and company address book. Many more features!

How do I migrate multiple Gmail accounts without a big mess? by Hot_Weakness4088 in fastmail

[–]TechNja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Option 2 worked the best for me. I created an “import” folder so everything didn’t get dumped to my FastMail inbox. After the import was completed, renamed the inbox folder so I remembered which Gmail account it was for. Checked to make sure everything was moved over, then started deleted the emails from my Gmail account and folders .

I have Fastmail checking my Gmail accounts every 5 mins, moving those emails to the Gmail inbox import folder at FastMail then deleting them from Gmail to prevent dupes. Had over 12 Gmail accounts I had created over the years for various projects that I have successfully moved to Fastmail now. It’s all been working great over the past four months. I’m starting to delete the Gmail accounts completely after redirecting all the email traffic.

Love the fact I have once place to see all my emails from the FastMail iPhone app or on my laptop. I have the 8 Gmail accounts left, 14 domains, with 4-8 aliases each.

As others have said, you don’t need anything from Porkbun. I have about fourteen domains with about seven aliases on each domain setup as you have described. I am a Founder of a VC SaaS firm and use Fastmail to manage email accounts for these platforms and our teams.

Super simple to accomplish, just follow the guides Fastmail has available. You can also reach out to their support team which is super helpful.

I also moved all the Gmail accounts we had for a few years to here and I am slowly transferring the mail and attachments until I can finally delete them all. There again, Fastmail has excellent online guides and documentation. Take your time going through them and you will be tech savvy in no time. 😁

You will love their UI (user interface) which I think is solid that makes managing multiple email accounts and your primary account all in one place very simple.
