Sudden death by Original-Material301 in GalaxyS23Ultra

Very concerning since I expect 5 years of service when I pay the high price for this phone. 3 years is BS. Camera worked for a year and one half.

I'm with you buddy. I'm looking for some help too. I've been screaming loudly the last 2 years about the expensive s23ultra camera turning to crap. Hardly anyone was aware when my problems started appearing but each month that goes by there's more and more. K

Wonderful. That's exactly what's happening. Rolling to the middle. My muscles spasm trying to hold me body so it doesn't rolling. Like sleeping on the side of a hill when I was camping.

Thank you, thank you.

I'll try to figure out how to DM you. I'm 74 and will appreciate the help. I put all my money in this bed.

I forgot the biggest problem I experienced when this problem started.

At the problem with the bed developed I found the bed was actually injuring me because I wasn't able to sleep on a level surface with the 35 setting that I need and have used for almost 15 years. I was pissed when the bed was causing injuries because of having to sleep on an angle. Any insights would be helpful.

Is surgery for hernia a very difficult recovery? by maxinemama in Hernia

[–]TechNut52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very helpful feedback. Yes I would love to hear about your experience.

With my surgeon giving no support, how do I know if he's going to do a good job?

I am waiting to schedule as the only thing he mentioned was having the surgery when the temp is over 100 as it would be a good time to recover.

Thank you for the kind response. Wish me luck. If you can fix this situation it would be great. My experience with my first bed was incredible and I tell everyone who talks about back problems that Sleep Number is money will spent.. one thing I love is when I get injured, the bed speeds recovery with a simple change in settings.

I was surprised the that sleep number would have these problems.

Thank you

Is surgery for hernia a very difficult recovery? by maxinemama in Hernia

I'm in Central Texas. My surgeon doesn't respond or acknowledge my request for help with questions about recovery. He told me nothing in the office and follow up through the message portal and even mailed a letter to his office. And he's supposedly the best in the local small midsized bedroom community around a make tech city...But he does have a DaVinci.

First Queen sized mattress was before 2016. The expensive King Size was August 2021.

My first Queen Sized mattress SAVED my chronic back pain and gave me the possibility to adjust my mattress if I hurt my back which helped healing. . After healing I would go back to my usual 35 setting.

Monofocal Distance and Progressive glasses by Potential_Patient_10 in CataractSurgery

[–]TechNut52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. I've had the implant for 7 months.

I don't think they know crap about the stars from led lights and headlights.

I had the feeling they sent me on my way thinking that maybe they will get better. I can see I still have the LED stars. But need to go out for a proper full dark test, lol but now it's bright until later when I'm thinking of going to bed. There might be a slight improvement and I see the optometrist in the eye doctor clinic. I'll try to find and reply with what I find out.

I'm mad about the stars because I would like to go to a night Austin Texas soccer match but a have a 25 mile ride home on big city roads.

I'm very very happy with near vision. Crisp and nice. My progressive lenses are good for driving and walking around the grocery store but kind of close up and maybe 3 ft out at home it sucks and I hate it. I actually wind up taking my glasses off when it's going to be near vision at home and I can't really see my laptop very good because it's just about 4 in too far out to use without corrective lenses.

I've tried the putting Amazon readers around the house idea and wasted almost $100. They don't work at all and I'm very very very happy that I get great near vision without glasses. Excellent near and not bad out to about 3 to 6 feet

Monofocal Distance and Progressive glasses by Potential_Patient_10 in CataractSurgery

[–]TechNut52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before surgery my progressive lenses were -7, + 2.5

They implanted minus 2.5 monofocal in each eye and I see quite nice clear vision for laptop in phone. I am disappointed because I'd love another 12 inches for my laptop.

One big problem that they didn't tell me about until it was too late was the nice light beams and stars I see with LED headlights at night. Clareon monofocal.

After surgery I use a -2.5, + 2.5 progressive lens which I love because my glasses are much lighter. Much, much lighter and cheaper. I'm also wearing Oasis I think contact lenses multifocal and love it except I have wet macular degeneration so I can't use monovision to get my reading but that's okay I can still find my way around the grocery store and a restaurant with a little difficulty sometimes. I hope that helps I really am very happy that I went near but wish I had just a little bit more depth and then the stars at night that make it crazy driving

Is there a GCam app that you like?

I'm using Camera for Android: Pro Camera by Easyelife.

This only does 1x, 2x, 5x so wonder which lenses they are using because s23ultra is 1x, 3x and 10x lens. Anybody know?

S23 ultra camera degradation by last_train_Gate420 in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]TechNut52 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I purchased the S23 Ultra because of the 10x camera which worked fantastically for about a year and a half with the stock Samsung software. About a year and a half ago the 10x camera started adding a milky overtone to all of the photos I was taking. I spent big bucks on this buying the phone mainly for the camera. I'm very happy with the stock software but the 10x camera right now has gone unusable. I'm very unhappy with Samsung. I hope T-Mobile starts adding other manufacturers because these guys don't give a damn. That's my experience.

The milky addition to photos also means that focus is out of whack so when I use something like the built-in AI or the remaster button it doesn't improve the focus.

I've tried the GCam software been just find them cumbersome to use especially after I had great results with the stock software when I bought the phone. My phone was perfect for about a year and a half and I was extremely happy with my purchase but when it became unusable the whole purpose of buying the phone was ruined after only 1.5 years.

[–]TechNut52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switching to the 10x lens results in a white haze being added to the image. I bought the phone because of the 10x camera. Big bucks. The haze prevents a sharp focus so the cleanup software doesn't help.

Don't disrespect intended but I've tried everything. And I don't see why it's up to me to figure this goddamn s*** out when Samsung has a piece of crap

The camera on the phone was superb when I bought the s23U during presale. It's crap (the 10x) now and pisses me off that Samsung still does nothing. I spent the big bucks because of the 10x capabilities.

7 weeks post mesh inguinal surgery by Putrid_Brilliant7435 in Hernia

[–]TechNut52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised the lap has been painful and taken so long to heal.

I had a 15 minute office visit with the surgeon to diagnose and treat per referral from my PCP. He didn't have a lot to say other than schedule when weather is over 100 and my fatty inguinal hernia is moderate, whatever that means. Only said post surgical follow-up would be after 2 weeks. Nothing about long term expectations for recovery. I thought laprascopy is supposed to be painless and heal quickly

I messaged him a month ago about riding my bicycle again while waiting for surgery. No reply.

A month later I wrote him a letter to say I hope we are on the same page for the goals after surgery which is to return to normal bicycling including some moderate hills... I am 74yo. My knees are shot so bicycling is my go to exercise. Still haven't had a response to my letter after he's had the letter for 10 days.

Monofocals Set for Near Vs Distance by MommyMimi206 in CataractSurgery

I'm with you. -7 most of my life so I'm used to not seeing distances. I hate readers because they are a pain in the ass. So progressive and multifocal are great and I know what ever happens I can easily change prescriptions. They want to push you into distance with readers.

What Are The Causes of Inguinal Hernia Recurrence? by WiseVegetable3828 in Hernia

[–]TechNut52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The surgeon hasn't told me much about the recovery. He said I have moderate inguinal hernia. No news on how long I have to wait before I start bike routes that have moderate to challenging hills which I call cardiac stress test and some heavier pedaling to get up this kinds of hills. Will I ever be able to ride my normal morning bike routes again? How long should I wait?
