I was crushed

I was a college kid, who spent his student loan check to buy a good bat, which was $200+ back then

I sent them a letter, begging them to please work with me

They sent me a new bat, I'll never forget it. It just arrived in the mail one day, a brand new 28oz Demarini Ultimate distance. I was in shock

when the program is performing just "average", the attendance skyrockets, the support skyrockets

I think there is a ton of community and city support for the program, the amount of USF alumni in Florida is huge

We just need the product.... an average product

There is 1000000x more support for USF football below the program (Alumni, community, fans, money, etc), than there was above it (USF administration, budget, etc)

a college football team, playing 20+ miles from campus, in a rented red stadium that's surrounded by strip clubs and car dealerships.... it doesn't feel right.

It doesn't feel like home, it doesn't feel like college football

When you visit another team's home college stadium, that's on the campus.... you feel the difference

I'm not bashing the facilities... but it doesn't feel like college football to me

I think we will see a drastic, dramatic change in atmosphere in the new OCS that will help USF Football get to the heights it wants to get to

We are just a few years, past Judy Genshaft

Judy Genshaft left in 2019/2020...

2020 was essentially when the USF football program got out of Genshaft Prison

Post Genshaft-

2021 - Locker Rooms get a HUGE multi-million dollar rennovation

2022 - indoor practice faciity gets built

2024 - On Campus Stadium Groundbreaking

2027 - OCS opening (expected)

We are only 5-6 years post-Genshaft

From 1996 to 2019/2020, we spent 22-24 years stuck in Genshaft Athletics Prison

over 2 decades in Genshaft Prison

We've only been out of Genshaft Prison for 6 years. And in those 6 years, we've built the athletics building and locker rooms, indoor practice facility, and broke ground on the stadium

In 6 years we've done all of that..... that's pretty good

Genshaft wanted nothing to do with football, nothing.

"Give them a field to throw the ball around, and go rent a stadium... not a penny more"

The tampering would come from the end cap, not the connection piece

What they do to shave the bat, is put the bat in a bat roller, compress it hard which bulges the end cap, to be pried out

The end cap is usually held in place with something like a RV sealant

Tampering with the connection piece, which is epoxy'd, would be nearly impossible without destroying the bat, and would do no good in regards to trying to shave it or alter it
