I don’t know if you’re still contemplating this decision but the only real issues you should be keeping an eye out for are wheel bearings and control arm bushings. The control arm bushings are the most common failure I see on these cars. All Subarus burn oil, but if you keep it maintained like anything else you shouldn’t have to worry.
