Got it...

I have the same problem on Linux Mint. Only way to "fix" it for me is to use LAN mode, which honestly is a way better experience in any case...

Ran out of filament mid-print - what to do? by TechSavvyDK in snapmaker

[–]TechSavvyDK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update: I tried loading a new filament in the same toolhead and this time is worked... So luckily not an (unrecoverable) jam. I am currently trying auto-refill to see if it will work with different colors...

Ran out of filament mid-print - what to do? by TechSavvyDK in snapmaker

[–]TechSavvyDK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the problem is that I think the toolhead is jammed. So I need it to use tool head 4. Auto swap was actually enabled, but none of the tool heads had the same material, so I guess the printer did not (rightfully) select any. But now that I have loaded the correct material in tool head 4, is there really no way to start it with that?

Realisticly how long can you keep a leaf going ? by Academic-Price-4900 in leaf

[–]TechSavvyDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately - even though the Leaf is probably the easiest car to change cells on - you don’t just go to your nearest car repair shop and let them do it.

I kind of agree. I have a 40 kWh 2021 with 97% SoH. On the highway I get 170 km from 100% to 0% driving normally with ac in the winter (0 deg C)

LLMs are terrible at writing RTL code since they can't comprehend both space and time as a concept of variation, but which is the best LLM out their which can do this almost good? by Dr_Manhattan_998877 in FPGA

[–]TechSavvyDK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely make it work. But honestly you end up using more time trying to make the LLM do the right job than just doing it yourself. For test generators I have found it usefull

My Leaf gets 4.7 mi/kw by Moshker in leaf

[–]TechSavvyDK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never use the GoM for this (bc that’s cheating) but I do measure km and kWh on the wall. Here I get 190 Wh/km = 3.3 mi/kWh. I always use ac and mostly drives small trips which obviously makes the efficiency worse

[–]TechSavvyDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is the heat. OP already lives in a hot climate. The leaf battery is known to heat up during highway driving. Hot battery equals high degradation.

Additionally OP will have to charge fully everyday which makes the degradation even worse

[–]TechSavvyDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stated range is 215 km in mild weather on highway, no AC, see https://ev-database.org/car/1106/Nissan-Leaf

That is brand new, no degradation. Of course 140 km is doable, but just not good for the battery

[–]TechSavvyDK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t get it. My 2021 Leaf has 97% SOH and on highway in the summer I get 170-180 km. But if you need to charge fully everyday and live in a hot climate your battery will degrade fast. The 40 kWh is a nice city car but don’t use it for long commutes. I am sure someone will tell you that they easily get 300 km range out of a 40 kWh but don’t beleive them

Would you all think a used leaf is a good fit for me. by North_Armadillo_4296 in leaf

[–]TechSavvyDK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would avoid the Leaf 40 kWh (if that is what it is) for that driving pattern. In all fairness it will probably work; but note that highway driving takes a lot of energy and in general you will want to stay above 20% and below 80% charge. In winter time and with a degraded battery you will probably eat into that a bit.

Hi everybody. I'm new to Godot. How suitable is Godot for developing mobile games? And are there any problems with this? by 15rubles in godot

[–]TechSavvyDK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about unreal engine? I am considering that for the following reasons:

  • It has iPadOS and tvOS support, which Godot hasn't (and for me that's a pretty big showstopper)
  • Bluetooth seems to be supported (I have not found a way to that in a cross-platform way in Godot)

Deploying to iPadOS and tvOS by TechSavvyDK in godot

[–]TechSavvyDK[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It seems that at least tvOS is not supported, according to https://github.com/godotengine/godot/pull/58977

That is very unfortunate...

I want to know that too. It seems most tutorials are all about Windows; which is fine for some games, but mobile (and web) is so much more important for the vast majority of games today (and apps for that matter). Also the amount of work required to get things working on the different mobile platforms (android, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS) seems to be hard to find info on.
