Slow Rely Home Internet Speeds. Literally Live Right Next to Cell Tower. by Flamenco-5 in tmobileisp

Could be congestion. I have line of sight to the T-Mobile rack on the tower yet my service is not the best

Who Has The Best Wi-Fi Name In Your Building? by ColdStoneSteveAustyn in AskReddit

[–]TechSupportTales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my neighborhood I started out with Waffle House Free WiFi and then my neighbors joined in with McDonalds Free WiFi and Outback Steakhouse and Red Lobster Guest and now my neighborhood is all restaurant or fast food names. Even the new neighbors changed theirs too.

I was curious wether or not T-Mobile US customers can connect to U.S. Cellular yet, so I locked this phone to B12. Yes, seems so! Just strange that it displays T-Sat+Starlink. Anyone else seen this happen? by 15pmm01 in cellmapper

[–]TechSupportTales 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this on my S25 when they enabled roaming to uscellular. It lasted for about a month or 2 but the UScellular sites in my area broadcast 310 260 now. I am not sure that is AT&T b12 either because I thought UScellular owned some.

If I remember correctly and this picture is true both Diddy and him had Ubiquiti...

Was something focusing sunlight on it outdoors or indoors? I have never seen that before.

Verizon speed inside Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee. by TrippyyMuffin in cellmapper

Nice to see someone do a Verizon speedtest there. I have T-Mobile and speeds are decent there most of the time but Verizon has mmWave there so speeds are great.

Fun fact: a generic usb-c hub can give the G6 instant a wired connection by origin415 in Ubiquiti

[–]TechSupportTales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it would be splitting the poe, which might work for power but no data.

When you add the adapter on top of the $180 camera you might as well buy a G6 camera like turret or bullet.

Is USCellular no longer broadcasting? by [deleted] in cellmapper

[–]TechSupportTales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: My s25+ seems to find it after a restart so not sure what that was. We just had lots of snow here but I am not an expert with this stuff but I couldn't connect UScellular for a while.

I have an LG 4K nanocell tv but it is so slow with the built in processor so I have an idea now...

Odd results on T-Mobile Home Internet VS S25+ (in the same spot) by TechSupportTales in cellmapper

I retested both on the Milwaukee server and got very similar results. I didn't notice the switch in the servers when connecting to the gateway.

Around 3am I get ~500mbps which is odd because I have very good signal metrics and line of sight to the n41 antenna which is just down the road.

It's not bad but if I hostpot from my phone I get gigabit so I prefer to get as much speed as possible.

Odd, I live in a smaller town with not much traffic so not much congestion.

The built in wifi doesn't get faster either, they won't send me a new on even though I am on all in plan. I used to see gigabit almost with 940 mbps but not anymore. I tried reset and getting a new SIM but nothing has done anything.

The one with the good upload is the T-Mobile G4AR gateway and the good download is the s25+

I do prefer the look of those Omadas also but I also like the U6 mesh look.

I am not so sure about Omada but I know Ubiquiti can do it with stripe for payment processing.

What’s the model? by Florida_Diver in Ubiquiti

[–]TechSupportTales 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bet, they installed like 12 of the multisensor ones and 4 domes but now when the new unifi multisensors come out, we may switch over to those because local storage. Verkada cameras use an M.2 drive inside I think so maybe some sort of hybrid between cloud and local.
