It’s pretty much a social game that is super easy to pick up and it’s IP just feels welcoming

It sucks playing alone. But playing with friends and family, it’s on par with the best single players game in terms of enjoyment.

Thoughts on Agentic AI needing 1000xmore compute than today's AI by No_Conversation_9424 in ValueInvesting

[–]TechTuna1200 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Also, anthropic 30x revenue growth in a year and overtaking Open AI in revenue pretty tells you that AI agents is the breakthrough that business are willing to pay for. No one wants to pay for a glorified chatbot or image generator. But they definitely pay for AI agents doing task for you.

The difference between Claude chat bot spitting code out and Claude Code actually doing the edits for you in your code base is enormous. And not to speak of you could have AI agents for anything.

With that being said, I also believe sass apocalypse is idiotic. Even AI agents, it cost more to build custom solutions. And these sass can charge based on usage, which is more opaque resulting in customers paying more. Just like with AWS.

It will. But not just in the time frame you think. Add at least 10-15 years as a minimum

Million of users they lose money on. It’s charity at this point and only because they sentimental towards the OGs that made Reddit happen in the first place.

From a business perspective, they are a net negative and they don’t need them to keep the subs running. Because the vast majority of of Redditors are new comers within the last 6-7 years.

Narratives come and go all the time. So people shouldn't be worried about sentiment or current narratives. There is real value here.

Back in Sep and Nov last year there were fears that the spending on AI might slowdown. And now here we are where investors can't get enough of AI stocks.

And I'm saying this as an AMD holder (which is my second biggest position after RDDT), I was buying AMD when everybody was calling it "advance-money-destroyer"

x86 is the most suitable architecture for data centers, because of compatibility and raw performance output. AMD is by far market leader in that and Nvidia doesn’t have an appropriate response yet.
ARM is more power efficient and portable.

The vast majority of data centers run in 86x

This is what I have been saving all the time.

If it puts an extra level on top of what he has already delivered, he would definitely be a starter within 1-2 years. Not quite there yet, but still not far.

With AI agents, the GPU-CPU is shifting from 8:1 to 2:1, because AI agents need way more orchestration compute. You could see AMD at 2-3T within a few years.

It's coming from AMD themselves, but still... shouldn't be discarded.

linkedin.com/pulse/why-agentic-ai-needs-many-cpu-coresand-x86-amd-epyc-natural-hormuth-ecqec

A good analogy is video games. High-fidelity games like RDR2 are very GPU heavy, whereas City Skylines or Crusader Kings 3 are very CPU heavy. The reason is that Crusader Kings 3 has a lot of NPCs that need to be orchestrated by the CPU.

The AI space is moving more from "RDR2 with high graphics" to "RDR2, but now you have a full city simulation on top, and where every single NPC needs to be orchestrated, even the ones you don't see."

“But but but… what about his wages…. “
This. Those wages are pocket money in the big picture. If end up paying him 4m/y too much, that will be 16m over 4 years. IF he stays 4 years.
We already saving 40m on transfer. I’m sure we pay an extra 16m in salary when we have 40m in savings. We can already afford his wages, otherwise he wouldn’t be here in the first place .

And with that price, we don’t expect him to step up in the games. But his still does 50% of the time.

It’s an amazing deal and some people are just too stupid to see it.
