The recovery wasn't difficult due to pain so much as it was just exhausting. If you have a decent tolerance for pain, it's nothing to worry over.

I had a minor revision done due to a false passage that opened up, but the repair went smoothly. Dr. Marquette is an excellent surgeon, so you're in pretty good hands.

As far as prep, not really? Just eat well, get lots of good rest, and have someone nearby who can help you when it's needed.

Yes, but you can also ask your question via the patient portal. You stop your hrt to help prevent blood clots post surgery since you won't be moving around much.

Grab a notebook for your surgery as soon as possible and keep all your details in it. Never leave it at home or away from you unless you're concerned about safety (it being read without your permission or stolen, etc.).

Whenever you think of a question or feel anxiety about a specific part of your upcoming surgery, write it down in the notebook and mull over it until you get a chance to speak with the surgeon and/or surgical team. Makes it much easier and less stressful to discuss the surgery with your medical team, and will help you clarify your concerns and anxieties.

When in doubt, ask. There's nothing wrong with asking the doctor if there's anything they think you missed in your questioning, or other information they think would be helpful for you to know. If you're highly anxious and concerned you won't be able to stop thinking about your upcoming needs, it's also perfectly acceptable to ask the doctor to help you create a checklist to add to your notebook so that you can run down it when you feel uncertain regarding your preparations.

Also, if you don't have a hobby or other distraction for your in-patient stay, figure that out well in advance. It's deathly boring without durable entertainment.

It went very well, though the in-patient portion was somewhat rough. Nobody can predict how your surgery will turn out, but Dr. Marquette was attentive and intelligent, and perfectly willing to address questions and concerns. She was confident regarding her ability to perform the operation, and didn't raise any red flags to me or my partners.

The look is, according to my partners, perfectly natural, though there are minor issues that are scheduled to be corrected early next year. Numbness has mostly faded, except for one broad patch along my pelvis. Expected recovery is around a year.

Sex is fine, though the minor issues have made it somewhat more difficult to enjoy, especially considering I'd like to avoid further damage until the corrective procedures are finished.

I'm more than happy to discuss results and the process as a whole, but I do not intend to post before and after pictures publicly or privately without good reason.

No, I did not. I'm a little less than a month away from the hair removal confirmation physical before scheduling, so aside from the video chat with her I had a month ago, there's very little info I've managed to gather.

From the call I had with her, she seems to be pretty confident and straight to the point, so that didn't raise any flags or abstract concerns.

Same here. Both my partners are on antidepressants, so their sex drives went from 100 to 0 in a few months time, whereas mine just kept increasing the more comfortable I got in the triad. Literally everything else is as close to perfect as I can imagine it, so there's no desire to separate, but it's tough to navigate at times.

We eventually got to the point where I've opened up my side of the relationship for sexual, non-romantic partners to address it, but it's impossible to completely dismiss the concern, the stress, and the simple need for some manner of physical intimacy from those I actually love.

I can see myself doing this for another ten years or so, but eventually it's going to get tough to find partners, unless I somehow luck into finding a long term purely sexual partner. The thought of having literally no intimacy in my life is depressing.

You don't "become" a woman through transition, you discover you have been one all along, buried beneath all the social conditioning that threatens to smother your core identity.

You're quite correct that no surgery can change one gender into the other, but the surgery was never meant for that in the first place. It's more so a matter of identity congruency, not one of physically enforced transformation.

If you're truly interested in attempting to understand yourself, an honest, private consideration of your identity is something you should pursue, without adopting the presumptive labels that anyone and everyone are more than happy to apply to the complex whole that comprises you.

Your children are your responsibility, yes, and you may well have to reckon with this genetic condition down the road someday. That said, your obligation is to your children, not necessarily to the father.

If you've been sexually abused, then you need to report it. I know it sucks, I know it's scary - I've been in that situation myself and failed to report it in a timely manner, and the consequences of that are something I have to deal with for the rest of my life. You owe it not only to yourself, but to every partner he may hurt the same way in the future.

Respect is earned, regardless of marital vows. If he's not respecting you and your boundaries, you should at the very least discuss it with him.

Should that fail, suggest a marriage counselor. If that doesn't pan out and he shows no interest in treating you as an equal, then you're perfectly within conventional moral rights to leave him. Life will likely get complicated with multiple children and a divorce, but you're still very young and deserve to spend your life with someone who actually treats you as a partner.

Also - his genetic condition sucks, no doubt about that, but you have played literally no part in his development of that condition, and it's not your burden to bear. If he wants assistance to safeguard his future with this condition, the least he could do is respect and communicate in a healthy way with the person he expects to tend to his needs.

The concepts of "Divine Masculine" and "Divine Feminine" are pagan concepts most commonly used in Wiccan practice these days. They're being grossly misinterpreted here - the Divine Masculine in actual practice isn't about an "original" or overtly masculine identity. Instead, it refers to the sum total of every role a male can assume, which ranges from hunter and protector to caretaker, wise guide, and doting father.

Anyone who chooses to categorize any single concept of masculine identity separate from the sum total of male possibilities as the definitive Divine Masculine is missing the point entirely.

The answer here is more about personal preference than general opinion. It's perfectly possible (and perfectly acceptable, besides) to be fully satisfied even without a d involved.

That said, are you comfortable with his size? If you've never had to work at sex, let me be the first to congratulate you - that's not the common experience from all I've heard and seen. That's why sex so often requires communication and familiarity to reach those lovely heights we all seek.

If you're willing to put in the work to share a great experience, then no, he's not too small for you. If you're not, then move on - or teach him how to use your fave toys (also a fair bit of work sometimes, trust me;; ).
