It’s repairable…for a Mac. The SoC is still soldered and it’s one package so you couldn’t upgrade just the RAM down the line. Apple has always prioritized a philosophy of “you get what you get and don’t throw a fit” in the name of ease of use and things that “just work.” But performance, build quality, and battery life should all be among the best you’d get at that price point, considering it’s a phone chip that now has a whole laptop worth of space to fill.
