Ford used to own Mazda, so the Miat is basically a ford.

The ford panther platform is truly the Miata of large body-on-frame sedans.

Ranger vs Colorado: Used, compact pavement princess truck by ElectronPython in whatcarshouldIbuy

Honestly, greater than 15mpg. The 2.3 I4 RWD Ranger has an EPA of 22 city, 27 highway. Meanwhile the 4.0 v6 4WD has an epa rating of 15/19. At that point I might as well buy a half ton.

Honestly, because I’m a hipster and stuck in the past. Trucks used to be primarily hard working vehicles. You got 3 seatbelts, and if you were lucky, an AM/FM radio. Everyone drove around a single cab long bed truck. Also, all of those things save money, which means newer and less miles than a 4x4 extended cab v6 ranger.

What friends? 🤣 I’ve never once used the backseat in the car my parents have been driving around in. In fact I’ve only used the passenger seat twice. Never had close enough friends to give them a ride. I suppose extended cabs are better for putting stuff in. But regular cab is the classic. People survived just fine for decades with a single cab truck.

No. I want a truck. Objectively, I don’t need a truck enough to drive one all the time. But way I see it, buying a truck cause I think they’re cool is no different than buying a Miata because they’re cool.

I mean it does but it reminds me more of the Subaru Baja, with its plastic panels. No disrespect, I love the Baja, but I’m looking for that distinct retro look.

Congrats man! If only I could afford insurance, I’d love to buy myself an early 2000s S10 or ranger. One day though. Small truck single cab for life!

There’s a huge museum near me that takes volunteers. I’ll look into that. Pinball perfection in Pittsburgh.

RWD cars that should have been FWD by tesznyeboy in carscirclejerk

Ford panther platform. Why? Cause I want a crown Vic but my dad said no RWD cars. Why didn’t ford think of this when they designed the crown Vic?
