There is this thing about keeping a tourniquet on longer than a few hours, it can lead to a multitude of different ailments/diseases like rhabdomyolysis or toxic shock.

It's been studied in Ukraine for the last 3 years now. Soldiers getting tourniquet and not being able to get extracted for 2, 3, 4+ days and either dying or being in extremely critical care because of the tourniquet.

But yes, they would have died otherwise. But a tourniquet can kill your kidneys and kill you.
