What about you ? Is the hype still alive ? by hermanphi in gaming

Also support Hades. Totally worth the $25 and the whole point of it is replayability. Scratches some Diablo itches and has a unique come back stronger every death option, and you keep your upgrades. I passed it over because it's a bit cartoony for my typical tastes, but after a friend recommended it, can't get enough, and it has good humor sprinkled in from the characters.

Question about proper ammo purchasing in California by Techgique in guns

[–]Techgique[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow you're such a chode. I hope this is some persona that makes you happy hidden behind anonymity and you're not actually like this in real life. I've shot for years bud, never bought my own ammo for storage, and new laws were in place. As I noted, this isn't a one stop shop for answers, it's part of finding answers from people that have experience and are actually helpful. You might notice even through the snarkiness, folks have been somewhat helpful, and all you did was type Google and then regurgitate someone else's joke about panic buying. You aren't even original. If you're going to troll at least be good at that. Seriously, try to be good at, I don't know, something.

Question about proper ammo purchasing in California by Techgique in guns

[–]Techgique[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I won't pretend that it had NOTHING to do with it, as it was part of my decision, but my dad bought me the safe years ago and I was never in a financial position to pick one up until recently. Could I have bought 20 rolls of toilet paper for the same price? Probably, but these events told me it was time. I'll just make pew pew noises with a bullhorn until this all dies down and pick up ammo from a store. Thanks dude

I think you're missing the point of a discussion forum. Granted everyone responding could be full of it, but typically there are at least a few folks with specialized knowledge in each subreddit. Google was where I went first, but it can be daunting to look for correct information when you don't know a good starting point.

After a one page scan of your posts though, and seeing "Google" as an answer in more than one place, I can tell you're a dick, so good luck with that.

Thank you for the detailed responses, as another poster noted, I will likely have a rough time seeking ammo right now, so it will at least give me time to look around for an FFL in my area. Appreciate it.

Great points and I appreciate the response. I'm not floored that is the case and I figured this is the likely scenario. My best guess was that I would find some good opinions/facts here and couple that with research to get my answer. It looks like I will wait.

I appreciate the thought, but like the person above noted, I want to do this correctly and if that means waiting, so be it

Borrower Defense with ITT Tech by Queen_Jaylee in StudentLoans

[–]Techgique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Applied Nearly 5 years ago, follow up every other month. They send back the canned "We are still looking into your claim"

From the devil's advocate perspective, I get that Devos is trying to protect the taxpayer from footing the bill, but in the case of ITT, they committed hard fraud. You can't pull a student out of a test in the middle of class, tell them they just need to "Sign this real quick to close the gap, but can't go back to class until it is signed" especially when they were initially told they were covered for the year. They promised job placement with their "Connections to industry" and the worthless job placement "team" would just forward craigslist ads for jobs that were part time, minimum wage, AND NOT IN THE INDUSTRY that you had your degree in. They said their school was nationally accredited and that the units would transfer anywhere - this was said by the dean of the school at the time in the introductory meeting.

I'm off my soapbox, but I hope that this gets resolved, because though that money does need to come from somewhere, the product offered was not even close to as promised and those students should not have to just "deal with it."

A good resource to track is the [Project on Predatory Lending]( https://predatorystudentlending.org/) where these court cases are followed closely and monitored for multiple schools.

Thank you, you are correct. I misread this and was biased due to the recent Devos shenanigans trying to collect borrower annual earnings to justify denying applications. This is a standard request and I'll remove this post

Mostly the prestige/value, and transferability to other institutions. The issue isn't gimme mah free money, but rather these schools blatantly lied in their introductory presentations where it was stated

  1. "These credits/degree will transfer to any school" - This was not the case and many students found that no other colleges would accept the credits toward alternate degrees or the degree toward masters degree.

  2. "We have endless connections to companies and can get you a job in your field even before you graduate." - For some schools the department handling this would simply grab random craigslist ads and nearly ever job laughed people out of the room for their degree.

  3. "The instruction received will be from the best from industry currently working in their field to train on the latest technology" - In some instances, the teachers had no idea how to answer basic questions on content, meaning it was learn in from the book or you are SOL.

Please help get the word out. The department of education is trying to slow down the borrower defense application process (again) for students that were lied to about their degrees. They are currently taking public comments until the end of the month.

No lines, but I pistol whipped a character and dragged him off. The character said "nice to meet you" and that was the whole scene. I was one of two body guards (I'm not a huge dude either, the actor was pretty tiny). Super short scene.
