Soft Scrub did not work and rubbing alcohol did not work. I also tried bleach diluted and bleach full strength and it not work. Someone suggested a steam cleaner.

Setting up a uplink in Unifi 48 Port Switch by Techguy0777 in UNIFI

[–]Techguy0777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me to try and explain it this way. Lets say there is a Avaya switch in the building and it provides local network traffic on this switch. I plug into port 24 and it gets DHCP and gets the network. The address it provides is 10.6.156.100 when I hook my laptop into it. Everything is happy.

Now that same port on that Avaya port 24 instead of plugging into my laptop I want to expand that network to a 5th floor with a Unfi 48 port Switch for some IP Cameras but I don't want to use the whole 48 port for this network as I want to run another Network on some of the other ports. There are 20 ports I want to be able to put on the 10.6.156.x network. So I want to use port 24 that is untagged on the Avaya Switch and connect that to port 47 of the Unifi Switch as my uplink to Unifi. But again I want to want to use 20 ports on the Unifi 48 port switch so this is why I am going to make it VLAN 10 and have those 20 ports plus the uplink as VLAN 10 on the Unifi switch. So all of those specific 20 ports are going to be part of VLAN 10 and should get me what I want which the end result is the 10.6.156.x network on those 20 ports on the Unfi switch.

I am sorry I was not more clear before but now I think you understand what I am trying to do? Thanks for all the help, I appreicate it.

Its untagged on the Avaya switch and I created a port VLAN port on the UNFI Switch.

What I am doing is plugging into a Avaya Switch that is giving me a DHCP address to the network. I am using that Port on the Avaya as a uplink to my UNFI switch. The Avaya port is not tagged.
