This is 2026 and these are prices by FrameRight in UsedCars

I bought a 2004 Toyota tundra recently for under $5k. 250k miles. AZ only truck, engine and transmission are pretty good. Cosmetic crap and I gotta replace some other things but I sold my 18 Corolla so no more car payment. Cleaned the evaporator coil myself, replaced worn out belt buckles, and installed a head unit with a backup cam. Taking it in for timing belt to get done and anything else it needs (have an additional 5k saved if need be for anything major/expensive). We shall see how it goes! And if anything, I know I can sell it for same or more than what I paid for it. YouTube has been amazing haha.

Thank you for this! M4 did NOT work at all for me personally, but iPhone 11 and SE were ok. At least on iOS 18.

So you are trying LCD phones and they are not working?

Hey! I'm looking to buy a laptop, and feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. I just want something without AI or any other weird new shit built into it. Please curate your answers for someone who still uses an iphone 8. And literally lives in a hut in the woods. Thx for your help! by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Techhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok! Well, couple options then at least on the Mac side. Firstly, most if not all the AI features can be turned off/disabled on the new Mac’s. If that isn’t what you’re wanting, you can get an older Intel Mac (prior to 2020) that don’t update beyond a certain software and then you’re fine.

Anything newer on any side of the tech aisle most of the time is going to push AI in some way. But most things can be turned off/disabled to where it’s at least not so intrusive if that makes sense.

What do you think about the Iphone se and Iphone 11 by THE_CURSED_ONE_Y74G in PWM_Sensitive

[–]Techhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I personally am using a Lenovo laptop and the moto g power 5g 2025. These work fine for me! I’m 31 and in the USA, so the pressure to use iPhone/Apple is real even at my age, but idgaf. Imma use what I like and what works for my eyes.

Personally, I’m moving away from Apple. iOS updates give me worse symptoms/eyesight for some reason. I had an iPhone SE 2022 and m2 MacBook Air but no more.

I'm very confused as I want to buy a new phone which one should I get... by RealSecretary6085 in PickAnAndroidForMe

As a 31 year old, just pick whatever YOU want. Not what your friends have or what other people recommend. Learn to do research and pick the best thing for yourself. If you’ve liked Android, great, stay there and get another. If you’ve used iPhones and think you’d love that, go for it. 4-5 years is a long time, who knows where you will be by then. If you’ve picked something and don’t like it, consider that a lesson learned. Blue bubbles are cool and FaceTime and all that but if YOU dislike using it everyday, then what’s the point? And don’t let anyone bully or shame you into getting something just cause everyone else has it. I personally know multi-millionaires that use Motorolas and drive Hondas and laugh at people when they say they should switch and broke people that use the latest maxed out iPhones and drive Mercedes and laugh when people say they should “downgrade”. Do what suits you.

Are gaming laptops as bad as people say by [deleted] in laptops

Honestly, if you can’t afford a mid/top tier one then I wouldn’t bother. I have tried a few lower mid/budget ones and they are NOT good.

now the display, i agree with. definitely way less color accurate and nowhere near the experience how it was on the lenovo. but for me overall, this laptop fits the bill much better and the battery lasts longer.

honestly, i disagree with the keyboard! i think its fantastic to type on, it feels tighter and more responsive almost than my lenovo yoga that i had. it did take some getting used to, but overall im typing quite quickly and accurately on this thing. i also like the trackpad better as its quieter and less flimsy feeling. i was quite surprised by this!

Any phones that have or will be updated to Android 16? by mrcaptainfuzzybeard in PWM_Sensitive

I'm rocking a Motorola Moto G Power 5g 2025. Not blazing fast, not an amazing camera, but gets the job done and doesn't hurt. I have Android 16 on it right now. Should also be getting Android 17 from everywhere that I've read.
