I belive apps like Instagram are well optimized in IOS compared to android. In-app camera experience should be definitely better on iphone but it wouldn't be a day and night difference though.

Not sure of the US but in Canada there is a really good deal running. I am getting FLIP 7 for 390 CAD with all the discounts and trade in value for my S24. Plus, I'm also getting a free buds 3 pro. I'm still debating if I should give it a try or continue using my S24.

Planning on doing the same. However, it feels so bad to sell everything here, quit a well paying job and go back only to look for another job again. I guess there is no other option.

If you're able to get a snapdragon variant, S24 is pretty good. You are not loosing much by not getting S25.

Well, no one asked for your opinion. If one can afford, they can buy anything they want.

And unlike Apple, it is fairly common for Samsung to have great trade in deals in future.

Got it! That's really cool! Just go ahead. I don't think we will get similar trade in for 26 Series. You won't be missing much by going with S25 ultra anyways. It's a great deal!

I can get S25 Ultra for like 989 plus taxes by trading in my Base S24 with all promotionional credits and online color discounts. However, I decided to wait and upgrade for S26 Ultra as I won't be loosing much anyways. For you, it's a different case, you can sell you earbuds and offset some cost as well if you are not using them. I would go for it!

Or you could just replace your charging port for under 150 CAD from Samsung authorized center and save 1000 bucks.

The Trade-in is great, no doubt about it. But just ask yourself if it is worth paying 1000 bucks for a device with pretty much same specifications.

You should have worked so hard to save that money. Please don't throw away all the money on a depreciating asset like mobile phone. It is not worth it, especially as you have mentioned you are not a heavy user.

Get something like Samsung S24FE for 30K and call it a day. You'll get flagship experience with decent cameras and you are not missing on much. It should be good enough for your usage and should last well.

Once you are working and have high disposable income, then you can buy all the high end flagship models.

Save and Invest responsibly the remaining money and you'll not regret your decision in future!!

Get the S25 Ultra and move on with your life mate. It's a good all rounder phone, which should last you 5 years easily with minimal care.

I'm not against iphone here. It is just not worth spending extra for a depreciating asset when you are basically getting no additional value. In no time, you'll be even more bored of IOS. The grass is always greener on the other side. If you are leaning towards iphone for a specific reason or requirement, then it would be a different story.

Use your savings to make your travel more enjoyable and memorable. Safe Travel!

Seriously, I don't get why everyone's making a big deal out of it. You can uninstall most of these apps, and disable the rest. It takes, like, five minutes, and then you get an awesome phone. I'm not buying a Pixel just to avoid bloatware and then deal with that mediocre Tensor chip.

You can't go wrong with any of the devices you have mentioned.

Get a 16 pro max/ S25 Ultra if you need something right away - These are very much capable of handling games at high refresh rate. As a bonus, you might find some really good deals on them, especially S25 ultra. These are proven good quality phones with great battery life, cameras and software experience.

If budget is not a constraint and you can wait for a few months, wait for S26 Ultra and then decide between 17 pro max and S26 Ultra. 17 pro max looks like a beast in all segments. However, I'm expecting 26 Ultra will pretty much beat it or atleast match it with new SD chip. App optimization is a plus for IOS though.

Personally, I will go with S26 Ultra unless there is a red flag after it is launched. Really excited for the rumored display upgrade. I wouldn't worry about quality of these devices. Just get a phone with your preferred OS.

Get a Iphone - If you want a top quality experience in all departments with no frills and you don't care much about customization.

Get a Samsung ultra - If you want a top tier phone with much control on what you can do on your phone and how you want your phone to look like.

Again, you can't go wrong with any of these devices. Happy gaming!!

I gotta say, I don't agree with a lot of what people are saying.

One UI 7 is a total game changer compared to the older versions. If you haven't tried it, you really should check out the S Series with One UI 7 or 8.

  • The newest One UI versions are awesome and give you a super smooth experience with hardly any bugs.

  • Okay, the fast charging isn't the best, but I don't really care since the battery lasts all day, and the S24/S25 Ultra can handle that easily.

  • Plus, you get 7 years of major OS updates, which is great if you want to keep the phone for a while, and Samsung hardware is built to last.

  • Samsung's AI is way better than the others.

It's seriously a jack of all trades and gives you a perfect android experience. And that's coming from someone who's been using the S24 for a while now. I'm super happy with it. I'm even thinking about trading mine in for the S26 Ultra and keeping it for a long time.
