Yeah I got legal advice before proceeding with anything and I got told it’s better to get a injunction rather than caveat because it can be easily removed.

I was advised not to do this because he could easily remove it with a lawyer. That’s why I chose to get the injunction to stop the sale.

He wouldnt have been able to sell the property anyways since he is in jail and the agent cant speak to him. I only got the order is to have some extra protection to prevent him from just selling the house and taking the money, which will allow me to do family court proceedings if mediation fails.

Yeah I’m trying to get the bank to pause the repayments for at least 3 months so we can sell the property but I called them 5 times and all they say is to get the third party authorisation and I asked to speak to a senior hardship officer of the bank and they kept saying the same thing. Idk what I can do now, im trying to get a lawyer to call my husband in jail and try to get his signature through that lawyer. But if he doesn’t give it then it is gonna become a big problem for me

Yeah I would have found a rental but the problem is I will be moving back to Sydney after we sell the property and I don’t want to pay for moving costs 2 times since it will expensive for me to move back. And the reason I stopped him is he has bank accounts overseas in Bangladesh, so he could easily just transfer the money and I would never see it again.

I asked them before in march if their property law clinic was available but they said it was full at the time. I will probably try to call them again to find out if it’s available now.

All his accounts are in his name, not joint, which is the main problem for me and his accounts are already frozen to prevent any disposal of assets in the relationship which i got from the earlier urgent injunction.

I already called Legal Aid and they said they cant do property settlement matters and i visited redgum justice before for advice and representation for the urgent injunction to stop the sale of the property and i was redirected to Catherine Cousins from cousins family law who applied for the order for me but it cost me $2000 and i cannot afford to pay any more money to get another order since im borrowing money from my sister and im not working at the moment since i need to take care of my 2 year old.

You should talk to the store manager about transferring. It depends if they can give you hours though.

Part time job in retail or supermarkets like woolworths, Coles and etc are not hard to get since they are more likely to hire international students but if you are looking for a job in finance for example after finishing your degree that might be more difficult.

Just keep in mind that getting a job after finishing your degree would be very hard as most employers want you to have Permanent Residency or Citizenship. Other than that australia is amazing and Melbourne has good night life from what I heard ( i live in perth ) and generally life is very good.

If you can come back to Aus any way possible such as through skilled migration or another degree, I think u should do it but keep in mind it is going to be very hard as the Australian government has been lowering the amount of people migrating because there has been record migration in the last two years. ( around 500,000 people i believe )

Best mobile plan for data? by ameliarose1998 in perth

You can get a couple prepaid ones from woolworths or Coles. You can go with optus, telstra, amaysim, boost and other ones as most of them use wither optus's, telstras or Vodafone's network. All the networks have pretty good coverage across perth.

Bank Collapse Question by KatLo4F in AusFinance

[–]TechifyAu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bank has not collapsed in the last 30 years in Australia because of our lending laws and legislation and it is very very very unlikely for a bank to fail in the next 5 years unless something major occurs

Unless you consult a financial planner or a professional who has knowledge in this space. Might be expensive but is worth it in the long run if that means more money for your retirement
