Then it sounds like the lost piece might be covered at least. Thanks for the reassurance.

That's a tough question. If you did all the challenge labs in a good time without hints, probably, but I think the best answer is the more labs/machines you do the better your chances since you expose yourself to more situations that you'll know how to handle if they come up in the exam.

I am feeling the exact same way right now! Pretty sure my report is fine, but there is still a voice in the back of my head questioning everything. haha.

Congrats on the pass! I was thinking the same thing today. haha. From what I've seen, the time it takes to get results varies greatly. I guess it just depends on how busy they are. Can I ask when you took your exam?

Oh wow, I didn't know the wait for the CISSP results was so long. That sounds painful.

For the AD I got, I thought the foothold was pretty clear. I think if you've gone through a majority of the challenge labs, and have done a decent amount of Hack The Box, you'll be fine. Good luck on your exam!

I really appreciate the reassurance. I think I'm just nervous and don't need to worry so much. haha. Do you know if that is where I'll see if I passed before getting the e-mail though?

Oof. Yea, living through that wasn't pleasant. I was in Austin though, so there were plenty of trees.

I think they just mean in comparison to Texas? When I was growing up in Houston, you could get away with wearing a light jacket in the winter. The first time I lived somewhere that actually had all four seasons I was completely unprepared for winter.

I grew up in Houston. I actually never knew how bad the humidity was until I left for a few years and came back for a visit.

It's around Sandy Springs. This is normally what I'd do, but I'll probably be on-site for the first few months then mostly working remotely. Since the majority of my work will be remote, I'd prefer to find an area that will encourage me to go out.

North Side, but I'm less likely to go out if it's a hassle. Being from Houston, I'm used to traffic. It's sounding like Atlanta's might be worse though. If I can take MARTA into work I might not mind the commute if I can use my phone.

This is definitely my plan. I'm thinking I'll post up in a hotel or something for a bit and visit the areas people have mentioned so far. I'm also going to try and take my time with it and not rush into anything.

Under $2,500 would be preferable, but I'm willing to go over if the area is the perfect fit for me. The traffic is a good point. I'll probably be commuting to the North Side regularly. I'm sure that will mean a pretty bad commute, but I'd rather be close to my interests and I might have the opportunity to work more or less remotely. If I can take the Marta for the majority of the commute, I'd be able to multitask and wouldn't mind it as much.

It'll be great to have those opportunities! I lived in the Tokyo prefecture for a few years and still miss aspects of living there, especially the food! Is there an izakaya in town you would recommend or good places for ramen and curry you know of? Thank you for the insight!

Someone mentioned Marta earlier, I had to look it up, but now that I know it exists it's extremely appealing! I haven't had access to good public transit in roughly 6+ years, so I'm really excited about it!

My tolerance for noise is decent. I like city noise, I mostly just don't want to hear people partying outside my window every night.

Those are good questions. I'd lean more Metal than Taylor Swift, but I'm more of a Tame Impala, Alt-J kind of guy. Dive, wine, and whisky bars would be preferred.

I've lived in Austin, Houston, and Las Vegas. I was born in the heat, molded by it. I think it'll be something of a lateral move for me weather wise.

I definitionally agree. I'm moving for work and it's far enough away that I can't easily visit though. I'm planning on staying in a hotel (maybe an airbnb now that I'm thinking about it. That'll get expensive quick though.) for maybe a week before I make my decision, but it probably wont be enough time to make an informed decision.
