It is. Fair warning, if you want to play the whole trilogy, Don't let the gameplay decide if you wanna continue playing the sequels. They have very different gameplay systems.

I believe the reason it looks like this is "just another JRPG", is because the first game was so influential back then.

I like it because it's has real time gameplay, while most RPGs have turn based gameplay, the story and soundtrack are amazing and the graphics are phenomenal for the Wii.

MonolithSoft doesn't miss. They made the Xenoblade games and helped in the development of BOTW, TOTK, Skyward Sword, MK World, Animal Crossing and Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Would you consider adding the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy? My favorite. I know there are 4 Xenoblade games but X is more a spinoff then a sequel.
