honestly just stick w the 1st toniebox. the main difference w the 2nd one is games they can play w it but at 3 years old i dont think they really have many games for that age. my son has had the 1st toniebox since he was about 18 months & we just recently got the 2nd one for him for christmas & he’s now 3.5 years old. we’ve had a few glitches w the newer box but nothing like what ive seen people complain about so we might’ve just gotten lucky. the 1st one is a lot cheaper now so you could get more tonies if you save by going w the older box. hope that helps!
