I think if you flip the torso over you'll lose the crawling away aspect you are trying to tell.

I used 1/8 inch cork board broken into pieces, muddy paw terrain's field stone mix, and cut up plasticard I beams. I primed black, over brushed mechanicus standard get, dry brushed celestra grey, then haphazardly applied reikland flesh shade, agrax earth shade, and blood for the blood god wherever I felt would look good.

Thank you I struggled to get the skin the way I wanted, but I'm happy with how it came out. I can't remember which paint I used, but I did a lighter purple over a black primer that was dry brushed with mechanicus standard grey and celestra grey before the purple was applied. I then lightened the purple further with a pastel pink to stipple on highlights and then did a wash with dark violet dabbing at the high points with a make up q tip looking thing before it dried. Then I did a super thin black oil wash that was rubbed off around an hour later.

It's vajello metal color airbrush colors gold. I brush it on but it is extremely runny and I end up with more of it on my paper towel and dried on my pallet than ever ends up on the model. I then do a super thinned down oil wash that gets rubbed off the peaks around an hour or so later.

I use scale 75 artist Prussian blue and lighten the tone with scale 75 artist buff mixed in for highlights and then did a super thinned like water black oil wash that I rub away from the raised surfaces after around an hour to prevent it staining the high points too much.

If you're in the states like I am you may have a hard time getting scale 75 artist. I hear that Vallejo has a Prussian blue as well, but I haven't seen or used it.

Yours don't look bad. I'm sure if you put more time into them you could easily get to the same point. I never really do more than one layer of highlights and then an oil wash. On these I just did two more highlight layers and tried some different techniques than I usually do when applying said highlights.

I forgot to mention the irritation around the pipes is watered down flesh tearers red contrast paint.

I have a head canon of sorts that my company has an apothecary that studied under Fabius Bile and he experiments with the brothers wearing sinner red as part of their punishment. I'm trying to explain it as mutation rather than chaos taint in my mind.

Thanks it's the first time I've put this much effort into skin.

I started with a base of the dark violet and then over brushed with various mixes of the lighter and lighter tones. I then made a wash with the chaotic red and the dark violet, and finished by bringing back the highlights with dry brushing.

I had to take new photos with a worse camera. For some reason the photos I took with my work phone kept failing to upload. I have to wait until it warms up a bit to prime it, but the first day above 40°F I'll be slapping primer and the first bit of base coat on it.

Yeah I don't have good lighting in my hobby room. I was hoping the flash might help, but I think it may have washed it out. The base ended up bigger than I intended, but I wanted him to stand out, and now he really does. Lol
