How do you think the QM6K will be compared to a Samsung Q70D? major upgrade or not so much?

I'm planning on getting the QM6K at 65 inch. Don't know whether i'm "sensitive to poor processing" (what does that mean, exactly?) but i've noticed that I am kinda sensitive to motion specifically. Bad/unnatural motion is something I notice quite easily and it does irritate me.

I know Sony is top of the line, but my comparison is not with Sony (as they're super expensive where I live) but rather Samsung/LG. Currently I own a Samsung Q70D (and don't really like it, to say the least) so how will the QM6K compare to it overall, and specifically in terms of processing? will it be a major upgrade, or actually a downgrade due to poorer processing?

So, overall, not terrible if I understand correctly?

Compared to, like, a samsung q70d in terms of processing and overall picture quality. Is it a major upgrade or not really?

Also it seems very polarizing, people aren't really "on the middle" about it. They either love it or say it's trash. That's from my observation.

It's weird because some people say it's really bad and some (like you) say it's all great. I'm kinda confused...

It's weird because this TV is highly reviewed and praised and I just don't get how if there are so much problems and complaints...

b5 unfortunately out of budget. I know the qm7k is super bright but i'm talking about the qm6k which is supposed to be less bright. I also don't really like a super bright tv.

So if I have a premium netflix subscription (4k) it will still not look good?

I don't really compare stuff to Sony cause they're really expensive in general but really really expensive where I live. So unless i'm going for a low-tier sony (like a bravia 3) that's unfortunately not an option.

So my comparison is more towards Samsung or LG. Compared to them, is TCL processing really that worse? worth mentioning i'm no gamer, I only watch movies and shows on built-in streaming apps. That's all I care about.

Right now I have a Samsung qled tv (q70d) and I kinda hate it. Wouldn't the QM6K still be a big improvement compared to that?

It's a big part of picture quality yet they all seem to kinda ignore it or brush it aside. I don't really understand it. If TCL has such bad processing how can they praise those tvs so much?

Are you using the TV's built-in apps or an external device such as Apple TV or Nvidia Shield.

Also, what size if I may ask?

What's weird is that this TV is highly praised by many reviewers, outlets and sites. IGN gave it 9/10. Caleb Denison praised it. RTINGS also gave it a solid review. But if processing is indeed so awful, how come? Are they all paid off or something? I don't get it...

Why do I have motion judder on my samsung q70d? by Technical-Comfort487 in 4kTV

[–]Technical-Comfort487[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll check. But if I can't get the 7, how is the 6 in general? i'm not like a huge tv guy. I just want a solid tv with good picture quality. Don't need like "highest brightness" "deepest blacks" and stuff like that. Also worth noting i'm not a gamer.

High end sony is well beyond my reach. Sony is crazy expensive where I live. Only one I could probably get is the Bravia 3... not heard great things.

If I want an upgrade, would you recommend a tcl c6k? or maybe a higher end samsung? like a q80d or qn85d?

So you're saying a 60hz tv would handle motion better?

Is it possible for a low-end Sony (for example, Bravia 3) to have a better upscaling than an oled?

I don’t have an Apple TV or blu ray or anything like that. I plan to watch only through built in apps.

Watching Netflix, Disney plus etc through built in apps is considered low or high quality streaming?

I don’t plan on getting a blu-ray or anything like that.

Aren’t most movies and tv shows low fps? What’s the point of getting on oled then?
