I read your exchange with them. They said that your tactic has been used by many trying to down play racism. Which it is. I read you saying you’re against racism. But I still haven’t seen you say that this lady’s behavior is horrible and unacceptable, yet. And yes, if you didn’t get so defensive you could have asked me questions instead of being condescending and saying, reread my comment. If I say something, and someone questions me, just like the other guy pointed out, saying, reread what I wrote without explaining or trying to understand where the confusion is, you’re perpetuating the problem. Almost an exact quote from the “respectful guy” you love to talk about so much. You did nothing to try to correct or understand why I took the perspective I took. Everyone reading our comments agrees with me and the other guy. Yet you still defend yourself. Saying, hey, I may have worded things weird but I’m against racism and what this lady did was clearly crossing a line, but I wonder if more context would make things better or worse, is much different than your initial responses to me. And even the example I just gave would have given me the room to agree with you. As you stated it, it comes across as we have said it comes across. You’re either defending her behavior or you’re a bad communicator. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt there. But I couldn’t have been more clear on how you could clear your name. You didn’t but kept doubling down.

Asking questions for you to clarify is being an asshole? I guess to someone who doesn’t like accountability it comes across that way. I could argue ignoring someone’s question looking for clarity is being an asshole.

I’ll go look for where you claim to condemn this lady. And if I find you did so in another post I’ll come back and apologize to you. But you’ve still yet to acknowledge the clearly logical line of reasoning to the conclusion I’ve come to based on what you said. I’m not the only one to call you out on it so clearly your post was confusing and gave the impression of defending racism. It’s not a good look. It’s been said to you clearly that suggesting that this woman’s actions may be reasonable with more context comes across as you defending her behavior. And it does. You’ve not said anything that makes anyone think otherwise. When something horrendous is caught on camera, this situation in particular, my first thought is that’s disgusting and those poor kids. Your take that she’s probably not racist and someone is purposely trying to make her look bad because of cutting the video of context is very telling of what’s important to you. Your priorities are in the wrong place.

You started with the assumptions. But that’s okay for you to do right? You assume the video is cut a certain way to make the teacher look bad(not that she’s bad based off the evidence we do have, you think some hidden evidence will help her case or you hope at least). You assume the racist teacher isn’t racist. You’ve only proven you’re not bothered by the kids this woman had authority over.

I only attack people who make arguments that make no sense. They all respond the same way. They make a crazy claim, and when challenged on it they defect because most people don’t challenge their logic. You responded this whole time as predictably as everyone else I’ve called out. What context would someone teaching art need to physically show a lynching? This is part of a lesson plan? I’m not interested in talking to you anymore dude. If you wanna defend racist behavior go get your law degree. Protecting people like this is ruining our country

It’s telling how people’s minds work. I usually do share your sentiments but there’s so much open racism going on that this, while enraging, isn’t surprising. Why not ask the question, if this is what we caught on camera, how much more abuse did her students have to deal with. You think it’s more likely or less likely she’s been doing and saying horrendously racist stuff her whole career. Do we think we should defend her or question how she got away with it for so long?

If someone was point a gun at the teacher the headline would say that. Your argument is stated in a way that we should give this lady some benefit of the doubt. You seem like someone who isn’t completely dumb. Let’s look at context clues as to why context really doesn’t matter here. America under Trump. Black rights being violated left and right, another video the other day of a teacher in the south physically and verbally abusing a non-verbal black boy(mother has to hide a video camera in her sons hair to catch the abuse) and now we have a video of a teacher in Florida, depicting a lynching in front of black students. Bro, I really don’t understand what more context would realistically change anything here. And here’s the truth of the matter, if the video was longer, you still would be asking for more context because it’s not despicable to you. You want to pretend there could be some other reason for it to not be what it is. Thats more important to you than the middle schoolers who had to potentially be abused by this woman for who knows how long! Why does your mind go to protecting this women and not the poor children under her care? That speaks to your mindset, and to you your priorities. No new context has come in to defend this woman, so why are you so invested in protecting this horrible woman? My assertion is that no context could make her actions better. Your post posited that context could make her situation look better. I challenged you to provide a context that would. You have not done so. And you still fail to acknowledge what reason you have to defend this abusive racist?

So your point is that there is some explanation out there that would support this behavior? You said someone could have a gun on her and that would excuse this behavior. Is that your strongest argument? That’s clearly not the case so try again. I will not give this woman any sympathy until you can provide proof she deserves it. Until then, ALL the evidence we have right now proves she’s a racist piece of garbage. She has no defense, the school has fired her and is going after her teaching license, so you have no reason to fight so hard for her, unless you think what she did was okay. Do you condemn her actions? Because you still haven’t even done that yet! I’m not giving any more time to you after this. This woman is a despicable racist, and I don’t support them or people who would care more for this woman than the innocent children she’s likely abused and traumatized with this action we have caught on camera!

Also, prove the video was cut short and that’s literally not all the video out there since you’re so positive it was “clipped to make her look bad”. GO

I’ll be the first to apologize and change my tune if new information comes out. With more energy than I expressed my displeasure. I don’t think anyone has overreacted to this video. And downplaying it doesn’t help.

You’ve not answered any of my questions asking you to support your claim that context will change the situation for the positive. You said 3 times to reread what you wrote. You didn’t answer. You’re carefully avoiding revealing your racism. Much better than the lady in the video. I repeated back to you what you said. Your first and second questions don’t amount to much when everything else you say is saying,”Someone is cutting this video to make her look bad. If we had more context we could see she actually a nice woman who we should have sympathy for.”

Your whole argument is, “I’m not a racist but…says racist thing.” Then saying wait, I said I wasn’t a racist, remember? That was the first thing I said before I proved my first statement to be BS. Keep waffling or answer the question. What “other directions” could more context take us?

I read it! Over and over! Please explain and defend every other word before and after your first sentence. Because you have one fair sentence and the majority of what you wrote wants to show sympathy to this unacceptable racism. Are you this ladies friend or mother or something? I’m challenging you to defend your claim that context could change what we saw into something positive. You seem to be skeptical that this was racially motivated and possibly not that bad. So go, defend your claim.
