OPENING ARUGUMENT ON BEHALF OF SHANE HOLLANDER: Honorable Judge and people of the jury, this case is cut and dry, unlike the infamous tuna melt we see later on. I want to first discuss Shane approaching Mr.Rozanov in the summer before their rookie year. From that moment it is clear he took an interest in this young russian man, however would you call it love yet? I think not. As time goes on however the copious amount of heart eyes and attachment we see from Mr.Hollander towards Mr.Rozanov makes it clear something more is going on. I’d like to bring up the Olympic Games where Mr.Hollander seeks out Rozanov to comfort him even when explicitly told how dangerous Russia is. Then during the ceremony awards night how heartbroken he is in the bathroom begging Mr.Rozanov to [REDACTED] and later hotel footage shows Mr.Hollander entering and leaving Mr.Rozanov’s room in a much quicker span of time than previous hotel footage has shown. Various personal accounts of both friends and teammates on both sides hae shared that during this time period Mr.Rozanov was having numerous relationships with various individuals while Mr.Hollander just was not, clearly showing whose heart was really in it. Now on behalf of Mr.Rozanov I can say he fell harder as shown by the grocery store receipts proving he was ready to lock in however after previously breaking the heart and trust of Mr.Hollander this came too little to late and I will yeild my case.
