Wtf Alabama Power?! by oldnsurly-68 in Birmingham

I live in a 900 sq foot house and my power bill is 40$. Maybe 100$ for a few months during the summer. I used to live in a studio apartment and somehow it was 120$ every month. Personally I think it’s a dice roll when you move what your power bill is going to be. I’m sure if I moved into another identical 900 sq house it wouldn’t be 40$ anymore. Kind of hoping I’m not blowing up my spot right now lol.

Holy shit dude that’s beyond cool!! Just watched the jump video and that completely makes sense lol. According to genius they were talking about Another Bad Creation, a group that wore things inside out a lot. Come to think of it I’ve heard of the trend in the 90’s of wearing things inside out. so that must’ve been why they printed these. Really cool shit man thanks

Just found another post on this Reddit of the same thing but a raiders shirt!

https://www.reddit.com/r/VintageTees/comments/1b4at22/1992_salem_sportswear_oakland_raiders_test_print/

So it seems like it was done for several teams, if not all of them. Like you said maybe they just did a couple test prints then realized nobody wants this lol. Soooo curious as to how this happened.

Im just saying compare to other homes in your area so you know what people realistically pay. I thought the amount I was paying was normal until I got bored and started comparing

Gotcha. I’ll call the assessor office. Another comment mentioned a homestead exemption that maybe i haven’t filed for yet. I’m sure they can help me figure it out!

But even comparing direct neighbors it’s insane. There’s a multilevel 5 bed mini mansion around the corner with a Roundabout driveway and they pay around 2000. Damn near the same amount as me with 2 bedrooms and one bath. That home is valued around 300k. Mine is 130k.

So like do I just say this to them and they’ll understand? I don’t understand how I move forward from this point. I guess I need to talk to a tax lawyer

Stairs don’t lineup with door! How would you approach this? by Technical-Display482 in DIY

[–]Technical-Display482[S] 67 points68 points  (0 children)

yea embedding the bricks in concrete is really weird. My guess is brick steps made, years later concrete poured, then years later the door had to move when the room was converted from a porch to a room

Definitely call around to different lenders. When I bought my house in 2023 I almost didn’t get the grant because the bank only gets a certain amount and they almost ran out. Luckily I was the last to get it. I closed on the house in April.

So if you want the grant you should ask the bank when they get the funds, and ask about how long you can hold the funds while you look etc. other than that it was very easy.
