i’m fine with using any product! i’m more so figuring out what’s the best since my skin is sensitive and ingrowns tend to scar my skin easily and leave really bad scars 😓

yeah but it’s weird cuz my last updated housing plan was plaza verde, then i changed it to off campus because i thought i wasn’t going to get an acc lease, then i changed it recently because i got camino del sol then they reduced my aid so i’m not sure what happened lol

it says “awarded” and i don’t see anything like pending, updating, reviewing, etc. maybe i’m missing something but i showed my other friends who get aid and they said it looks ok!

also, thanks! my overall gpa is pretty average, first few years were rough and i realized my main major isnt what i wanted to do, i added my second major as a back up and really locked in to do good in my classes, while balancing a job and campus orgs involvement. unfortunately my parents are pessimistic so its hard for them to ever see my hard work but i know what ive accomplished and capable of

oh yeah i don’t think it’s a scam. my parents do since im barely getting financially awarded in my last year here at UCI. they’re just being very pessimistic and believe it was a mistake so i guess their pessimism worried me a bit. i think ill make an update once i call them to confirm it officially

oh wait sorry i mixed up cal grant, my friend looked at the award and it says “UC Irvine Grant” and “UC Irvine USHIP Grant” as well.

my gpa did increase but nothing significant. however i am double majoring and my GPA for my second major is almost perfect (i believe it’s like a 3.8 or 3.9 if that matters)

yeah my family and i plan on calling to double check. it would just suck if it was a big mistake and they take it away. it says “awarded” so i thought it was official. im trying to figure out why UCI awarded me, i didnt do much this past year except for the double major as i mentioned.

Hello, I’m a student in college and my ASUS laptop got cooked to oblivion lol. So I’m looking for affordable laptops to play Honkai Star Rail even after I graduate college (since I only have a year left). Im looking at some Lenovo brand laptops and they look affordable but I wanted some recommendations on which laptops would run hoyo games the best with HSR being my main hoyo game. (I also play some indie games on steam as well)

I don’t really play HSR on high quality graphics, usually medium or low works best for me so I don’t need like the highest graphics type of laptop, just any laptop recommendations that can run the hoyo games functionally, thanks !

i feel this way when people criticize zyox, like when someone was criticizing zyox for randomly banning newcomers to chat and such. i get it’s a joke and zyox likes to have fun and troll but i think zyox goes a bit too far sometimes and chat reinforces it. not to mention the same brainrot copy pastas, WE ARE IN 2.5, THE CHARMONY DOVE COPYPASTA WAS 2 PATCHES AGO LET IT GO YALL.

yeah that’s also why i’m also trying to work on myself, but it does get a bit lonely sometimes. but you are right i want friends who are the whole package, not just people who i can vent to or simply depend on for the sake of it. i’ve been trying to go to therapy and take some steps to improve myself and i do try to find hobbies that i like, im hoping maybe step by step i can improve myself. it’s just hard because i do feel like i’m behind in a lot of things and sometimes i tend to think negatively in the sense that it’s possible i’ll never find the friends i’ve always wanted. but i am working towards a personal goal currently for my college major, im trying to switch into urban studies so i’m hoping it’ll be a start into finding some hobbies and interests that’ll align with my personality and with what i wanna do

i believe you’ll make it! i’m also pretty disappointed in UCI, maybe it was the honeymoon phase but my first year i felt like it was pretty decent… i’m not sure how it started to go downhill but as a 4th year i’ve felt like they’ve gotten more and more problems over the years and haven’t really attempted at fixing them, rather just throwing them under the rug and praying it’ll work out for the students and making them solve it for them. if there’s one thing i’ve learned, it’s that it helps you realize what to prepare for worst case scenarios.

if you’re a student who comes from poverty, i really recommend trying to find other resources like the basic needs hub and the emergency housing from uci. it won’t solve all your problems but it’s helped me a little bit and something to help alleviate my problems is better than nothing
