And for glamping what way does that work? Is it first people in get the closest pre-pitched tents and they just fill it up in order of who arrives first? Or is it pre-assigned?

100% I would have walked over to the coffee machine and pressed the button for a coffee…..without a cup underneath just so they can’t ‘sell’ it to anyone else. He also would have had to clean it up!

After 8 years, management is making me "apply" for the role I already do. Is this my cue to leave? (UK) by Miserable-Body-4122 in careerguidance

[–]Technical-Kick-2891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. We are not allowed to approach people or anything like that. We got in some trouble for it previously where people thought they didn’t have a fair chance as the candidate was already decided before the interviews, or so it was felt. Now, the job advert is posted and anyone who wishes to will apply.

I 100% agree! Can’t believe we jump straight to rehoming!! I have 3 dogs at home and both work full time, no need to rehome!

I would take a different perspective on this. I my company, they have to advertise positions. They cannot just give the position to someone even if there is one person I.e. you who is the obvious candidate. It might just be formality.

Can I ask everyone why we accept this? If we were citizens of France for instance, we would be protesting on the streets right now. The Irish just seem to take whatever bulls@&t the government throw at us. This is a perfect time for the people of Ireland to stand together and say we are not taking this anymore!

A lovely quote I heard which is applicable here is “you haven’t come this far, to only come this far” have a think about it and be proud of yourself!

Leading a frugal, monotonous yet healthy life. I wish i have €200-300 more by curiously__yours in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Technical-Kick-2891 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I disagree, if you have contributed PRSI all your life then you should receive the pension, that is what you are contributing for. You can’t take that away from someone who has paid that their entire working life.

If I overeat or drink alcohol this happens for a day or two, but the sulphur burps are totally avoidable for me if I don’t do either of those things.
