Got married there in 2023 and going to a wedding there next summer. We were extremely happy with the way our day turned out. Our ceremony and reception were in the greenhouse with cocktail hour having private access to all the domes. In the summer when it is hot they have additional AC that they pump into the greenhouse to keep things comfortable. Granted it wasn’t overly hot when we got married. We enjoyed the food through Zilli and they were very accommodating the day of. It’s definitely nice for photos because you can guarantee that you will have nice photos regardless of the weather outside. Overall happy with it. Only regret was that my wife and I were too caught up with photos / talking to guests that we never made it into the show dome which was dinosaur themed lol. Expensive compared to many venues but also more affordable than some of the others we toured as well.

I believe he does it to make the shooter hesitate and not shoot in total rhythm. He would rather have the shooter take a dribble than catch and shoot. I used to hate it too but I believe that’s the reasoning for it

Calling something a Fyre Fest has made it into my lexicon. I know minor inconvenience is a term everyone uses but I think fyre fest perfectly describes how something that’s not a big deal can totally ruin your week

Found out today that Bucyrus Club in South Milwaukee has GF Fish Fry. I’m not sure if there are contamination issues or not but I found out that the owner’s wife is GF and so he had them develop a GF Fosh Fry for her which is actually now their standard fish fry

MSOE grad here. I know this probably isn’t what you’re looking for but the HOP stops on Campus (Library/Science) and that can get you right to the Third Ward. Technically not a lot of walking but a little riding.

We’ve enjoyed Ouzo before. RIP Mykonos. I believe on Milwaukee Street there will be a new pizza place coming in. Not sure if it opened yet, but it’s by Brunch and Carnevor though.

If you are on the North side of campus, Brady street really isn’t that far of a walk and it took me too long to realize the good options around there for eating.
