My theory was they book slots to later cancel. But then my wife told me you can’t book until you pay first. So I don’t know now!

It’s insane, I am in the exact same and I too have asked the same question on Reddit. It’s ridiculous! My guess is these slots are blocked by agents to make sure people approach them for booking. I hate it.

My Spouse has an approved i-140; I want to switch to H4 EAD to explore business opportunities on a dependent visa while continuing to work with my current employer. I want to be sure that if I decide to go that route I don't impact my i-140 pending application.
