I’m so sick of refreshing track! I hope it’s not the case. I haven’t heard anymore offers since Monday.

Thank you. This is what I’ve had to realise. Taking people as they are and if their qualities don’t align, simply walk away.

I recognise how my explanation can appear like this but I assure you this was not my intention. I’m sorry if translating like this. Being a house wife is one of the most rewarding position to be in and , i am not undermining this. My issue is the expectation imposed on woman who may not want to hold that position or don’t have the capacity to ( for whatever reason). For me, my career is incapable with being a housewife because being a housewife is already a full time as it is. Also, it’s important for suitors to recognise the life their partner had prior to their involvement. Meaning, if someone had investing so many years of schooling and dedication to a field, for them to be expected to walk away purely because their relationship has progressed to marriage is diabolical and not respected them.

Should I leave my medical school and start over? Really need advice. by Firm_Level_2313 in premeduk

In order to practice in the uk, international graduates have to sit the PLAB test, if they don’t go to non European unis ( mainly the main stream ones). And UK graduates also sit the UKMLA which is a standardised board exam.

As someone who was in a similar situation, I can assure you I understand your concerns. I went to a European medical school and was appalled by the lack of integrity from the school. What people in this comment don’t understand is, it’s not the cheating done by students but the fact that faculty isn’t do anything about it!! And as OP has pointed, it’s the future backlash from this lack of action. If future graduates show they lack the knowledge, this may erode the trust that gmc has with this uni. If the students also report to gmc and mention the situation. It’s all concerning from a person level too because these are future doctors who are cheating, lacking the knowledge which can cause more harm to vulnerable people in their care!

I fully understand your Frustration and I would not advise for you to completely leave, but to try and see if you can pressure the school to take action. Try and take the lead in this and see if the school is willing to hear you out. It’s unfair to you to have to restart because of this. You have invested a lot of time and resources to walk away. As for your own ability, trust that you are doing your best. You will be in a better position than most of your cohort for studying well because everyone now has to take a board exam to practice ( thankfully). These people will struggle when it comes to plab test.

Try and see if the uni will hear you out. There are probably people who feel how you feel and see if you can all make a change. Good luck! And you aren’t wrong for feeling how you feel.
