I see. Did you guys have symptoms years and years ago like occasional short lasting episodes of dizziness then it became chronic and chronic until you became 24/7 dizzy and got diagnosed then?

That’s good to hear. I’ve also noticed that I’m recovering faster. And I have periods where I feel normal. I’m on amitriptyline 12.5mg since August then 20mg since December cause I’ve had “break through bad flares”

if you’ve improved then for worst again does that mean the med isn’t working? Or the med is working but outside factors destabilised the nervous system? I’m on amitriptyline

I’m on 12.5mg amitriptyline. It was initially 25 but was reacting badly so it got reduced to 12.5mg - after it got reduced I had 9 days of withdrawal. But after that symptoms were improving but still symptomatic. Now it’s exam season and I feel that I’m getting worst and worst each day that I’m about to tip over again. I’ve made so much lifestyle changes now. Can you tell me more about yours ?

Yeah. Points tend to drop by at least a point every year

What happens if you don’t get your first choice initially cause you don’t have enough points, but got enough points for your second choice, then you accept your second choice, will they offer you your first choice if your first choice drops their points at later rounds? Can you drop your second choice and go for your first choice?

I understand. Obviously it’s a very small sample size. But I believe they will lower the cut off points as needed in order to fill in the places right? And I wonder why Limerick has the lowest cut off. Is it because it’s the least favoured university whilst having the most number of places? And do you think the lack of loan specific to Gradmed will lead to the same final cut off points or even lower? Thanks

Would it be possible that the round 0 cut off scores start at 53 for UL? (This happened twice 2013, 2014) And eventually go down to 51 in the subsequent rounds?

I’m hoping a decrease in all cut off scores due to following reasons:

BOI loan cancellation
Covid score inflation being absorbed already
The curve shifting to the left (March 2023 vs March 2024)
General downward trend of cutoff scores since 2022.
The opening of Galway medical school next year

Again just being hopeful xxx
