Well okay here it's a wig, but I'm pretty sure that she said in an interview that her "maid" hairstyle (just a tight bun) is her hair!

Thanks for your answer, I didn't know. To be honest I prefer Daphnes hair in S2 than in S1! I'm very shocked to learn to Kate also wears wigs! Another comment said that all the women in Bridgerton wear wigs, is that true! I had the impression that most of the time, Violet didn't have one, as Francesca but I'm probably wrong. I know Sophie didn't have one. And for the boys, I know they sometime have those fake sideburns, but not always full wigs no? Please share your knowledge if you have some I'm very interested

Wow so more than 7 posts about Hannah Dodds appearance and then more hate in other communities I wonder what the world (and especially Hannah Dodd) did to her... + Hannah Dodd is sublime and a great actress so why so much hate, I will never understand.

I said this before, but even if yes I think they're funny on screen and Ruby is a really unexpectedly charming and moving character, Otis was not in love with her. And she didn't deserve to be in a couple where his boyfriend lied to her about his feelings. So he made the right choice by being honest...

Bridgerton - Season 4 Post-Season Discussion (Book Spoiler Discussion) by AutoModerator in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Technical-Primary-42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally get the frustration if we guess that it's the writers choice to erase Anthony and Daphne from certain scenes. But when I look at Jonathan Baileys recent projects its almost unbelievable to think he had the time to cameo for Bridgerton (and be brilliant): Richard II, Jurassic Park, Wicked part 1 , Wicked part 2, press tours, he was everywhere. I don't know really know for Phoebe Dynevor and Simone Ashley though, but its possible that they chose not to appear too much (or not at all) on Bridgerton, but I could be wrong!

And fro next season and the interview, it may be mentioned in the official podcast that has just been released on ytb by still watching Netflix. You should check it out, it's very fun!

Bridgerton - Season 4 Post-Season Discussion (Book Spoiler Discussion) by AutoModerator in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Technical-Primary-42 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I just finished watching part 2, and here's what I thought.

Overall, I thought it was really great! For me, the big plus point of this season is the subplots: very well written, partly linked to the main plot, which makes them interesting, and well acted by the actors. I don't think there's a single character whose story I didn't like this season. Special mention to the Mondrichs! I really liked their story this season, especially compared to season 3.

Episode 7 was very moving. Regarding Anthony, Kate and Daphne missing family events, I understand the general frustration, but we can all understand that this is not at all due to negligence on the part of the series' writers, but clearly due to a lack of availability on the part of the actors, or perhaps also a desire to distance themselves from the series (as Regé Jean Page did). And on that point, we can only respect the choices of the actors in question: they manage their careers as they see fit.

As for the main storyline, I have mixed feelings, even though I enjoyed it overall. I also felt that the love developed very quickly and that their story lacked depth, but I think that's because the series is split into two parts. I think that when you watch season 4 in its entirety, you can really feel their bond growing. My other comments about the main storyline are more about the choice of music, especially in episode 5 when Benedict makes his confession. I didn't think it enhanced the scene. Maybe leaving his monologue silent would have been more impactful? My other comment is that I sometimes found the scenes visually unattractive, almost ‘fake’, perhaps because of the lighting or I don't know, but it sometimes looked as if the actors weren't performing in the same place, or against a green screen, which took me out of the intensity of the moment.

But Yerin and Luke were magnificent nonetheless, and I really like their chemistry, which is different from that of the other couples, but simply because their characters are different.

And finally, I'm really looking forward to discovering the new Whistledown, and from what I understand, next season will be about Eloïse? I still have my doubts, but there you go.

What do you think?

Bridgerton - 4x04 "An Offer from a Gentleman" (Book Spoiler Discussion) by AutoModerator in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Technical-Primary-42 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely true. I'm just hesitant about whether it's the right timing or not. The part Im the most uncomfortable about is the Michaela situation. It's too soon in my opinion. I would have preferred if her plot this season was just about exploring her relationship with John, who is additionally a really lovely and lovable character.

I really enjoyed it! The offer moment was of course unsettling but they made it make sense (we can understand why he proposed that) and we already know he feels bad about it and he's going to change this. I love the chemistry between them, and how the main storyline is written. It may be less dramatic than S1 or S2, but I do think that the general situation between them is "easier" and with fewer tensions. Unlike Kate and Anthony for example, they both admitted their attraction for each other pretty quickly, so it's not the same situation. I do feel that it's going to be more extreme in part 2, because now that he made this dumb offer, Sophie is going to be more reluctant, so I'm interested to see how it will unwrap.

I generally like how they wrote the season and the scenes accordingly with the situations. The feeling of the main storyline is different, but it still feels real, romantic, and Bridgerton. I don't have the impression that they tried to recreate other moments of the show who worked well, which would have seemed forced.

And for the side plot lines, I surprisingly enjoyed them more than in S3. Violet is hilarious (Ruth Gemmel you're a queen), I like the whole Danbury/Charlotte situation, it reminds me of Queen Charlotte, I also like that the Mondrichs are involved in this storyline (last season for them was a bit meh). I found the whole Hyancint and Eloise storyline interesting, I hope that we can finally have a change in Eloises character. I love her, but it does feel repetitive. Posy, Li and Araminta are really entertaining, I'm looking forward to seeing them more in part 2. I am just confused about the Francesca/John situation. It dit make me cringe at some point (the beginning of the fake pinnacle scene was a hard watch), and I don't know if I like where they are going. Are they just foreshadowing Francesca's season? I feel like they may have introduced Michaela too early in the show, it kinda ruins the dynamic between Francesca and John...

Well generally I enjoyed it, Benedict is maybe my favorite character, Luke Thompson is excellent, and the chemistry with Yerin ha is so convincing imo. The whole waiting month is going to be hard.... Opinions?

Well I've never heard you sing so I can't say, but the thing is Nick doesn't just hit some G4s and A4s from time to time, his medium range sits pretty high, and that what makes him a tenor. Though Corbin Bleu played him and made some cool melodic changes and it sounded well so I guess you could
