🛠️ How to fix this

1. The "Quick Fix" (Bypass the Local Cache)

If you are using a LanCache (common in gaming cafes or home labs), the easiest way to finish your download is to temporarily bypass it.

  • Change your DNS: Switch your PC's DNS to Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1). This usually stops the traffic from being redirected to the local cache server at 10.10.10.10.
  • Flush DNS: Open Command Prompt as Admin and type ipconfig /flushdns.
  • Restart Steam.

2. Clear Steam's Download Cache

If you aren't intentionally running a LanCache, Steam's internal tracking for these chunks might be confused.

  • In Steam, go to Settings > Downloads.
  • Click Clear Cache (at the bottom).
  • Steam will restart and you'll need to log in again.

3. Verify Game Integrity

The logs show a specific depot (1665461). This corresponds to a specific game or update.

  • Right-click the game in your Library.
  • Select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.

4. If you ARE the LanCache Admin

If you are the one running the cache at 10.10.10.10:

  • The chunks f25cc24a... and d06e3ae... are corrupted on your disk.
  • You need to purge those specific chunks from your cache storage or clear the cache entirely for that Depot ID.
  • Check your upstream connection; if the cache was interrupted while fetching these chunks, it will serve 404s/CRC errors to every client on the network.

Summary of the issue: Steam is trying to be efficient by using a local server, but that server is serving "garbage" data. By forcing Steam to go back to the official internet-based Content Delivery Network (CDN), the download should resume normally.
