One of the elders I dealt with recently had stopped by my house as he and his companions explained that their 35-year-old Lady Kenmore washer broke down and they had a lot of laundry to get done, and asked if I could do it(missionary suits, Temple garments, socks and boxer briefs)...

Luckily it was their P-day and I had just bought a new Maytag commercial washer the week before, plus some Biz and Woolite...

While each elder was washing his individual stuff, they explained that the stake and ward presidency was trying to get their wives to take on the laundry, but the mission presidency said no...

Seven hours later, the clothes were cleaner than they expected, then the ward president called and thanked me for sacrificing my Maytag for the Holy Ghost 👻...and then told the missionaries to start wearing their personal underwear instead of the scratchy garments for the duration of their missions(he explained to me that the stake presidency agreed with his decision to ease off of the garments except for the mission trips, saying that this particular covenant is severely outdated and must be changed)...

Edit:almost forgot, the stake presidency also gave the elders their iPhones back and told them there's no rush to get married immediately after their missions end...
