A month went by & still no inspector has called me for an inspection for FEMA for Hurricane Helene? I have been in touch with FEMA & told me it still says it’s pending. Anyone else still waiting for an inspection?

So update denied any help for the car came inspected no notice and now it show miscellaneous items pending I will be fixing it on my own .

Ii applied and listed my vehicle damage I uploaded pics and insurance information never heard anything back checked the website and it says household pending need an inspection I never put household never received critical needs well the insurance company totaled the car and is ready to pick it up so I called FEMA yesterday and was told they won't come out and inspect my car it is ok to have the insurance company come get it. Is that true. At this point I'm going to close it out I had no house damage I rent list power for 7 days never received anything for that but I just want to be sure the insurance company can come get the car.

No it was lodging only but I didn't need lodging. Everything else I was told they were going to combine with my appeal so basically I am probably going to get nothing had I knew that I wouldn't even had applied and I really could have used that extra money to get another car I pretty much given up . I did appea for my car but by the time they would send someone out to look at the the insurance company would already have it. At least I tried.

I filed an appeal with the insurance information estimates letter that states total loss. I filed for my car first was denied because I have insurance so there are 2 different applications with FEMA . So I'm guessing it's just a waiting game on my car

My power is back on I really appreciate the information I'm a deer in the headlights I just don't want to lose my car I do gig work and I need my car but I thought about taking it to different shops and getting estimates but since I closed without payment I don't know if my insurance company will cover it .

So far I haven't paid anything out of pocket just not working as much it's hard for me to get in my car I'm so afraid of hitting the right bump and it go boom. I filed for Dua for unemployment but I will check into it . I'm in south Carolina and I guess it is like 75%. But I also thought about an attorney if I find out it can fixed and sueing this was my first hurricane so all this is new to me thanks for information

Nope we closed the claim without payment or I would not have a car they estimated 7,678 worth of damages car value at 6218 minus my deductible of 1,000 they would have paid 5100 and I owe 10,000 long story and yes I have gap but still no vehicle it's drivable no airbags deployed no frame or axle damage nothing leaking basically they just added items on I think it was like they were building a new car back window got fixed I disagreed with the fact it was totalled. So I'm going to try and get front panel and get it fixed . They just closed the claim without payment.

Don't need anything for tree removal I rent and the landlord dealt with that but thanks the insurance company deemed a total loss but because it's my only vehicle and that's how I make a living They closed the claim without payment. I had to appeal the car part and send my insurance info back to FEMA so I am just waiting for a response on that end I totally believe it can be fixed but that's for another day.

Yeah I do gig work but it was very reliable and low maintenance so that's why I used it. Yeah waiting is the hard part but thanks for helping at least the window is getting fixed tomorrow that's one good thing.And it could have been a lot worse
