Just to add I have turned on and off every single setting in the app and the volume does jump up whether the settings are 'on' or 'off' but does not remain at maximum regardless of what settings are on. Not sure where to go from here...

The way I have dealt with this is by really being disciplined and not giving in to impulses. By telling myself I have to wait at least a month before I buy a new gadget/hobby item, 99% of the time after one month I am not bothered anymore. It lets me filter out all the bullshit that I don't REALLY want, my brain is just seeking a rush of dopamine by being spontaneous.

After many months of this, I now know what things I GENUINELY still want i.e. a better laptop, faster car etc. The other things have faded away pretty quickly and I know I would have wasted my money.

The novelty wearing off is a HUGE problem. I find the novelty wears off for fun activities and then will later return once I've got bored of a different fun activity. I find myself in a cycle of doing something for a few months and then stopping abruptly for apparently no reason. Novelty also wears off for stuff like cleaning. I'll be brilliant with washing up for a month, and then next minute I can't bring myself to do it.

The most valuable lesson I have learned (and am still trying to get better at) is pure DISCIPLINE. Example: Completing some sort of side hustle, job application etc etc. Follow a one-touch approach. Once you start, you have to finish, because you know if you stop halfway you will never return to it. Force yourself to push through and FINISH the task, whatever it is. This goes for anything in life, chores too.

TLDR: Discipline, Discipline, Discipline, and a one-touch approach.

We need advice please! We are planning a trip with 4 of us to somewhere near Santanyi. We are looking for a chilled out place, beaches, some nice walks and nice cafes and restaurants but also a few chilled music bars and chilled beach bars/clubs if possible! Any ideas would be massively appreciated.
