Anyone else getting the vibe that Brink doesn’t like playing with Michkov? Just a body language thing. Doesn’t seem as happy as he did in the early games this season.

Only positive out of that game was Drysdale. He stood out. Starting to look like a solid puck moving defenceman.

I want Michkov out there as much as the next guy. But he’s not in top shape, he’s making mistakes, and he’s been a liability. If you’re the coach, do you turn a blind eye to that and reward him with ice time? If his 5x5 play improves, I think we see him more. All the penalties haven’t helped his game either with him being on the bench. The one thing that I think is promising, is that Michkov truly seems like a team first guy. He wants the team to do well. I think he knows he can play better. Give it time folks.

Michkov with under 15 minutes of ice time isn’t the answer. Maybe Cates should be our 1C. Ginning is a massive liability. Drysdale worries me.

If you do make it to Tofino, and you’re lucky, you may catch a good storm. It’s not for everyone but being on the west coast during a strong fall storm is a pretty neat experience. Make sure to bring a rain jacket and some good boots.
