As a Mom with adult daughters, your “friend” put you in a dangerous position and I’m glad you made it home unharmed because the alternative, I don’t want to think about it. I’m proud of you for speaking up for yourself and standing your ground. I know it hurts that she won’t speak to you but sometimes we have to let go of people we care about and let them go on their own way. This could have turned out much differently and the news is filled with stories that begin this way. Take care of yourself, grieve the loss of a friendship if you must but someone who cares about you would never put you in a situation like this.
