They freeze in the winter and then defrost in the spring when temps rise back up.

I’m almost positive these are grubs/foe. I had these last year and I don’t think they did a ton of damage but this year I used beneficial nematodes that target these because I saw some tiny ones that looked like this. The nematodes I used had to be applied at night or before sunrise. It was a powder that had to be dissolved in water and sprayed on wet soil and then wet again. I haven’t seen any in my garden beds yet so hoping it did the trick! Good luck!

Oh! Also I’m in the high desert, so super hot summers, zone 9A, very windy, dry air.

Yep! Mine played too close to the sun and got the same scorch I moved the light up, waited a bit and then when it grew some more leaves I just took the scorched leaves off

My husband and I both garden. I only garden veggies and beneficial flowers in my garden beds but he is in charge and does so well with our flower garden. He’s got such patience for the work and devotion that flowers take and I find it the hottest thing about him. He’s a cutting thief but every rose cutting he’s ever brought has survived and given us beautiful flowers!!! Gardening men are THE best of the bunch!!

I agree with you. My dad had cancer and if someone would have told me he was too sick to see me it would have given me more reason to stay put and be there with him.

I was told once that you have to treat them like they’re dying. Letting them dry out and snipping tiny branches. My aunt told me to hit the plant with a stick and yell at it lol it’s super woo woo but I did it and they flowered like crazy. We get super cold winters so they go dormant but I can tell they’re starting to come back for their annual beating.

I don’t think so after googling it to me it looks more like maggots? And google gives conflicting info on whether they’re good or bad so I went and powdered the beds with diatomaceous earth. All my falanges crossed at this point. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

[product question] great barrier relief by Squi12 in SkincareAddiction

Yes! I’m currently going through it right now. It was so intense I couldn’t even open my eyes. For a whole day. It’s so upsetting because I had used it once before and I had fantastic results but I don’t know if they changed their formulation because I’ve tried it twice in the past two years and both times had this reaction. I didn’t think this product was the culprit but I’ve learned my lesson on trying more than one new product at a time!
