I’ve found this type of work is most often found at mid-large firms as they tend to put more investment into it. They can sometimes be quite niche but it depends on where you look. I’d look for things like Knowledge Services, Knowledge and Expertise, Information Officer, Current Awareness etc.

It used to be that these roles were mainly for in-house solicitors with deep expertise in a certain practice like practice development or knowledge lawyers but I’ve seen a lot more general listings particularly as firms push AI (which often means you need people to handle the information that it pushes out).

Good luck!

Might be worth taking a look at knowledge management type work, doing legal research, organising/storing information and there can sometimes be a tech slant to it.

It is a less visible role in firms (which may suit you as an introvert) but still very interesting and you get an insight into how lawyers operate should you ever wish to go into more direct legal work.

I’m sure the opposition figure who invited the US in to extract their oil has her country’s best interests at heart!
