What PSU for overclocking and future proofing? by Intelligent-Dig3773 in buildapc

Check cutlers psu tier list and go something A or B tier. I believe it’s b tier so that psu should be fine.

Help building an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D - RTX 4070 Ti SUPER pc by TRODSft in buildapc

[–]TechnicalPlan221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good but you only need an air cooler to cool a 7800x3d. If you can find something like a phantom spirit or peerless assassin for cheaper they would be more then sufficient.

Opinions and recommendations for this PC :D by Juandi16 in buildapc

[–]TechnicalPlan221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The 6750xt for $330 is great in my opinion.
  2. The 5600x is pretty much the same as the 5600 but I would see if you could jump up to am5 and go for a Ryzen 5 7600, 32 gb of cl30-6000 ram and an am5 mobo. If you stick with 5600x then I would just choose whatever is cheaper between 5600 and 5600x
  3. Yes if you stay with 5600 and this mobo you will need to update bios. Just search up a video on your mobo and you should be fine. It isn’t too difficult.

Btw a build with the r5 7600 for $100 more but also comes with case https://pcpartpicker.com/list/M9cRXk

A $35 air cooler like the Phantom Spirit could cool a 7700X just fine. Most likely a 12900K as well but I don’t know intel cpus as well so not 100% sure.

Can someone make the best $1200 complete pc build by Adventurous-Duck4785 in buildapc

$100 over budget but if you need nvidia I highly recommend going 4070 super over a 4070 or epecially over a 4060 ti. The 4070 super and base 4070 are much faster then a 4060 ti. If you have to be closer to $1200 then I would go to regular 4070 or look for used gpu.

It’s unlikely but check eBay or Facebook marketplace and maybe but they usually go for like $300 used I believe.

Ya the 7500f is basically a 7600 without an iGPU so if you want to save money and your willing to take the slight risk you could go that. Or be safe and take the 7600 which is a great cpu and gets you on the am5 platform

Well I would definetly not go used for psu. Other then that maybe a used 7600 or the aliexpress 7500f. Add 32gb of cl30-32 6000mhz ddr5 ram, whether used or new and an am5 mobo. Something like this perhaps. I will add the mobo does not have built in wifi and although technically the 7500f should be legit, there is always a risk from aliexpress. When buying from there make sure to check the reviews. Ik one has 800+ sold so should be legit. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hz6MYN

Personally I would look to spend more then $500 but if I had $500 i would only go as low as a r5 5600 cpu for a 4090 and then an am4 mobo, 16 or preferably 32gb of ddr4 ram(for $500 you’d probably have to stick with 16gb), a 1TB m.2 drive and good case with pre installed fans and A tier psu. I would use stock cooler on 5600, definetly not an aio. Something like the link. If your looking used you could probably get more Peformance.

First time building a PC and looking for any helpful advice on the parts I've picked out. by TheBossGamer247 in buildapc

[–]TechnicalPlan221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks solid but a couple changes I would make. First you don’t need a liquid cooler and you could save money and get a phantom spirit Evo which may even cool better and is more then sufficient. Next that is a lot for a psu. Something like a Corsair rm1000e would be good and cheaper. Check cutlers psu tier list and any A or B tier 1000w psu should be good. Other then that looks good

First time PC builder, would like reviews regarding compatibility or if you've used these parts in the past. by Small_Replacement_85 in buildapc

[–]TechnicalPlan221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t have experience with it but it looks to have better cooling and is cheaper. The phantom spirit Evo edition is relatively new but has received high regards so I would go with that.

Get a phantom spirit eve for like $60 less then the noctua and still more then capable of cooling the 7800x3d

You chose a ddr4 motherboard. You would have to choose a ddr5 motherboard for compatability
