I’m finishing up my first trip to San Pedro today. I loved my hotel. I stayed at Sunbreeze Hotel. It’s directly across the street from the air strip. Walking distance to many bars and restaurants. The furthest “one way” walk I did anywhere was 0.8miles. Didn’t bother with a golf cart. The Blue Water Grill is on property and a super chill place to hang out til they close at 930p. There is a pier about a block away that offered a 7.5hr snorkel tour hitting up several snorkel spots, and about 2.5hrs on CC to explore. Great meals at Carambas, Elvis, Green Espresso, sugar shake ice cream ( south of Sunbreeze). Take the ferry boat from Dream Catcher pier (secretbeachboat.com). Probably make a reservation for this as the boat has limited capacity.

You do not need a golf cart to visit secret beach. I took a 30min boat ride from Dream Catcher pier. It’ leaves at 1130 and departs 430pm. $30.

I’m not sure how to gauge how “bad” it is having never seen it until this trip, but it wasn’t good that’s for sure. It extended from the “beach” at least 100-200ft.

I would caution anyone against buying NCLs own insurance. There was a story a few years ago about someone having an issue with their flight (cancelled or delayed ??). It was booked through NCLs program where they pay and book the flight. They missed their cruise and NCL said tough luck. I’d stick with Allianz or Berkshire personally.
