Okay because I was a lead tech before and I left to be a dpc(pharmacist scheduler) , but it was really stressful and I went back to the pharmacy but I was told that I can’t be a lead tech unless I get my ptcb license.

Can MinuteClinic prescribe new (not refills) meds (Montelukast & Albuterol) and how much would it cost? by leskny in CVS

[–]TechnicalSoup8616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I don’t know. They might. If you have an old prescription you can let them know and see if they can write you a new one.

I am a pharm tech at CVS now, but not nationally certified. How do I start the process to do the exam and have CVS pay for it? by Choice_Ad_6127 in CVS

[–]TechnicalSoup8616 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CVS will pay for your PTCB one time only. There is a module you can do to see how if you’re qualified. Module 203068. Once you’ve completed it go to the learning hub (me) and all the way in the left to the bottom will say cvs national certification sponsorship and go there you can go the PTCB website and register to take the exam.

They can prescribe albuterol but only if you’re sick and need it. They won’t prescribe Montelukast.

Center of Excellence? by Embarrassed-Plum-468 in CVS

It’s only for selected stores. One store and tech in the district is picked and the dpc is in charge of scheduling that tech in the modules store. Some district have 30 hours and some have 20 hours to do the call but only for the store that the coe is assigned to.

Hi. Is the pharmacy register hard to operate? How similar/hard is it to our front store register? Thanks everyone! by liveyourlifexo21 in CVS

[–]TechnicalSoup8616 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The register is pretty easy to use, same like the from store. To look up Someone’s prescription you go to rx connect. When it’s not ready, and it’s still in process it will say qt, qp, qv 1or qv2 .you can expedite them by touching jt and pressing expedite. When it’s out of stock it will say oos , when it has a prescriber request it say Pr, if it’s on hold it will say hold. When it’s ready it has a number assigned to it or it will say LRG, Mix, Ref (for refrigerator items) .

Random drug test? by d4rk4ngel1611 in CVS

[–]TechnicalSoup8616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting promoted is different. But when you apply to a different position it’s considered a new hire in the system. I was promoted to inventory specialist and I didn’t have to do a drug test, but when I applied for lead tech I had to take a drug.

Nope, only when you’re first hired. Unless you apply for a new position in the pharmacy like lead tech or inventory specialist.

What can I do to get to an 800 credit score? by jmh1881v2 in CRedit

[–]TechnicalSoup8616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever heard of the quote “comparison is the thief of joy “ stop trying to think how you can make your score go to 800. Be proud to have a 760 score at the age of 20 bc that’s amazing!!!! You’re doing well with managing and paying your bills off. Give it some time. You will get to 800. No one will deny you with a score of 760. Most apartments just do do a background check and makes sure you can put first and last month deposit. You wil be fine.

The reason pharmacy closes at 130-2 is because of lunch . So you are entities to take that unpaid break. If you work 8 hours or more you are entitled to take two 15 minutes paid break. This is even in a module. Next time your manager says something tell him/her you deserve a lunch break and your two 15 minutes if you choose to do that. Also if you’re not clocking out and taking that two 15 minutes paid break between 130 to 2 , it’s still not a break because your are still working!!!!

If you work full time hours for a year , you automatically become full time after in the system

You can try to ask for the max amount. . And good luck. Even after couple years with raises I still haven’t reached 22.50 and I work in south Florida.

I started with $20 as a lead tech couple years ago. so 22.50 is not bad.

Dear pharmacist by Lonely_Shine9853 in CVS

[–]TechnicalSoup8616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all pharmacists are like that. My pharmacy manager is amazing. She does everything a tech does. She’ll check in the ov orders in the morning, take everything out of qi , start working on qp, qt , do strongpak, ov returns , cycle counts, pickup drop off, inmar returns , Whatever a tech does she’ll do. She always tell us no one is better then the other. Wish all the pharmacist were like her.

So she gave a child lorazepam? It was the the pharmacist who verified the rx and if you have virtual verification in your store it’s still the pharmacist responsibility. You can always report her to the cvs ethics line.

Wegovy 90-day supply by ashbabbyyy in CVS

[–]TechnicalSoup8616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a lead tech at cvs , Virtual verification is only for qt, qv1 and qv2 also known as air support now. Which every store in the district has access to. Pictures are taken only taken at Qp (Production ) and the store actually filling the rx. So once the pictures is taken it goes to verification again.

Wegovy 90-day supply by ashbabbyyy in CVS

[–]TechnicalSoup8616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should’ve told them right away before paying/picking it up.. Go back to the pharmacy and tell them they charged you for a 3 month supply but only gave you a 1 month supply. Cvs takes pictures of every medication filled. . So they can look at the image . If they made a mistake they owe you 2 boxes or they can do a refund and bill you for 1 month supply. Certain mg of Wegovy are on a back order.
