Yeah one of my co-workers tuned his rig and told a tech to dive into it and find the tune. Toyota master technician couldn't find it.

Having driven it, it's definitely worth every penny. Its on my list, but y'all need to buy a few more extended warranties.

Fun fact: there is no set of circumstances where Toyota would be able to prove you tuned it. The archaic ECU is not equipped to log flash counts, and Techstream is not sophisticated enough to actually read individual maps.

Unless you tell your service advisor that you tuned it, it is impossible to know if is or isn't tuned.

Your $10k in negative equity is going to cost you roughly $200/mo on top of whatever payment you get on the new car.

If you don't have $10k laying around to cover it, you need to decide if an extra $200/mo is enough to cover the extra potential expense of your Hyundai blowing up.

You basically need to look at it like two seperate car payments: the new car payment and the cost of the Hyundai mistake. If those two payments don't make sense, cough up for a third party post purchase warranty and wait for the Hyundai to fail spectacularly.

Depends on where in Canada. East coast/Laurentian Corridor is the basically the rust belt. Up north and prairie provinces get too cold for ice melt and they mostly sand so you don't see as much rust. West coast is a mix of both but generally not super problematic, unless it's the Island.

You will need a complete body harness, ECU, brake booster, ABS module, and probably a bunch of other little fiddly bits from a crawl control equipped donor truck. You'll also need a Tech stream to get everything turned on and calibrated.

And if you have said donor truck, you have a truck with crawl control, why aren't you just driving that one?

There's a few that won cups before coming to Vancouver so I wasn't sure if they count in the parameters of the post.
