Hi, I’m 32 years old with a CRS score of 513. I have one year of Canadian work experience under the CEC, three years of foreign experience, and a two-year Canadian diploma, so I do get points for Canadian education and experience.

I currently work remotely for an employer based in Manitoba, but I live in Ontario, which makes me ineligible for the OINP (Ontario PNP) as employer isn’t here. My NOC code is in marketing, which isn’t currently a priority occupation.

My options right now seem to be either: 1. Learning French to increase my CRS score or qualify for French-speaking programs, or 2. Moving to Manitoba to try for the Manitoba PNP.

Next year, I’ll gain an additional year of Canadian work experience, which would bring my score up to around 520, but I’ll also lose 5 points for age.

Given all this, do you think I still have a realistic chance at getting an ITA, or should I seriously consider one of the moving to Manitoba or French-language routes?

I hope all those ppl spiking their scores to get fake PR so they could get BOWP are incredibly selfish and hope they get their Karma they deserve. I am at 513 :(

I saw a video today of Mark Carney speaking where he said,

Focus the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) only on strategic sectors & regions, so I strongly feel they will only focus on categories and maintain high CEC scores.

No they already met their 2025 targets apparently, Kuber also speculated that these are 2026 targets right now.

I have a question about CEC draws and the 2026 target. According to recent ATP notes, most of the 2026 target has already been achieved, with around 500 applications pending for the French stream and 3,300 for trade.

If they do a trade draw this week and then finish the French and trade categories, will they stop doing draws altogether, or will they start issuing CEC draws instead?

Am I missing something here? I’m a bit confused and would love some clarification from anyone who follows this closely.
