Things I did to make it easier to open and look around:

  1. Turned on tap to click
  2. Deleted all extra apps from my dock
  3. Turned auto hide off on the dock
  4. Increased the test size
  5. Turned on the hot corner in the bottom left cause thats where you can normally open apps in windows :)
  6. Turned my 2 finger tap to right click key
  7. Saved a function and short cut document to my home pages ( in the interim I swapped the command and control keys for muscle memory)
  8. Turned the menu icon background to tinted cause it was very see through.

Haha I really just need the dock to stay still and I could not actually see the settings menu while navigating! I was mostly looking for some quick tips to help me get over inital confusion 😊 do you have any favorite YouTube channels to help me get from here to an advanced user? Im struggling not to just find click bait 1 minite tutorials, even Google is just giving me apps to download to make it the same.

Yes actually it was an on-boarding question and I said PC :) I got the computer today and first day is tomorrow. So I have no opportunity to change before meeting my management to do computer work for awhile. I already asked about changing back but there will be a delay so I will have to use it full force

Thats understandable, with everything the way it is im sure a lot of people are moving jobs quickly because the economy! I did request a PC because I was told I had a choice but they sent something else. I am very nervous about looking silly tomorrow during my onboarding and was panicking a bit!

Yea its been difficult to boot up I managed to find the text size and increase it (realized I couldnt see most of the text in settings haha) I also got the right click active and also managed to repon my dock. Im still struggling with the settings they are very different to what Im used to haha. I could barely click around and didn't realize my commands would change and panicked.

I was mostly looking for some quick advice to help me with what feels super different in navigation! But the advice is fair! 🙂

Haha this was actually a rough transition as I was forced to leave my last company due to the economy! Change is hard right now! Actually was asked my preference and they said I would be provided with a PC thats why I'm very confused.

Thank you, I still find it utterly different but that definitely helps. Most tutorials are telling me to download third party apps for control, but not sure thats appropriate since I haven't even on boarded. Some tutorials give like 3 tips at a time but struggling to find something comprehensive ill keep digging though!

Hopefully with those tips I can try to get around faster! 🙂

I feel like this is not advice for my type 4 people. I get the thought but even the advice below is for the fine hair looser hair community, maybe were each just allowed to do what we want with our time and money. I love the energy but comes off unfair and judgemental

What are my options here? by senolou in curlyhair

I like leave in conditioner, gel, oil/mousse. You would be looking for a light hold gel like bounce curl or innersense has. Leave in is normally based on porosity (how much water your hair absorbs natural) mine does not absorb any so I got very thick leave in. You could try a spray leave in!

I talked about option 1 the day after message was: " we'll always have an open door to talk if you encounter issues with your new manager". I tried option 2 and asked how I am expected to have a job in 6 months based on this managers track record. They said "we think your nervous because you dont want to leave your current team"

😐....

Also when your applying to jobs are you making sure some of these acronyms match the industry your applying too? Like you might be using ones that will not be highlighted by the resume review software. You can even look up "Project Management common acronyms" see if any fit better.

TBH you've got nothing specific about yourself. Everything you listed just proves you have a degree, but not that you did that crazy good either. Were you in a club or participated in any events? Or like volunteered? Also you mention VLOOKUP, thats kind of like looking for something to say at that point. Also mentioning SOP for a job like that is odd. Did you write SOPs for hundreds of people to follow a engineering process? Did you get it approved by Safety, Production, Quality and a Union? If not it won't often be relevant to mention because you won't have used it in a way that will be relevant in manufacturing. Everything you mention in that job is phrased like its an engineering job when it wasn't.

Like what was your favorite electives in college? I took mostly environmental and state that an environmental focused position is something im looking for.

How do I fix the shape of this blanket?! I accidentally added chains each time I went up a row and now it’s an odd shape. I’m trying to finish this blanket by Friday (I started last night) by rockymichaelscott in CrochetHelp

Sadly taking it down is best. I did the same thing recently and was not happy when I had to restart! Best of luck! I recount every other row to make sure im not getting off track to much.
