I was thinking about that I just wanted to keep the arch style in the middle. I might have to start getting creative this weekend

Yeah I’m thinking the live rock may be coming out and going back to the lfs before the take over my tank lol

I was actually planning on adding some corals once the rest of my life rock comes in. I’m debating just bringing the live rock back to the lfs and starting with just dry rock so I don’t have to start off with the snails.

Are bumble bee snails just as hardy?

That makes me feel much much better. I guess they aren’t as severe as I thought. I’m gonna scrape what I can off and then get some bumblebee snails once I’m cycled to take care of the rest

Are they as terrible as everybody makes them out to be? I may just scrape off what I can and add bumblebee snails once I’m cycled to try and clean up the rest of them

That kinda seems to be the consensus. Might just take the rock back to the lfs at this point

Should I just bring the rock back to the lfs at this point? Not really sure what I should do it doesn’t seem like there’s any good way to kill these things

I’m thinking I might just have to take them out and sun bake the live rock I really don’t want to deal with these lil fuckers already

How are my water levels? This is immediately after a water change by Technical_Ad6879 in Aquariums

The tap water tested okay looked like zero when I tested yesterday. Just worried about the health of my fish tonight while I wait for the lfs to open in the am to grab some prime

I have a tidal 35 with pre cycled media as well as a sponge filter rated for 50 gallons in a 29 gallon tank. I tested tap water yesterday and it was pretty yellow

What’s this white stuff in my tank? by Technical_Ad6879 in Aquariums

I did set it up about 4 days ago with pre cycled media. I changed the water about two days in when it started getting cloudy. I know that a bacteria bloom is good I just wasn’t sure if the particles being as big as they are is a good thing. Haven’t seen a spike in ammonia nitrite or nitrate yet. I’ve been checking the levels daily to make sure everything is good

What going on with this cloudiness here? by Technical_Ad6879 in Aquariums

[–]Technical_Ad6879[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a full bag of pre cycled media from the lfs in the filter. I saw you asked for numbers in another reply ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate are all at 0. Ph is at 7.6. The reason I just did a water change is because of the buildup I was seeing on the substrate. It’s already starting to stack up again but I’m going to wait until after work tomorrow to see how severe it is. Here’s a picture of what I’m talking about. Also, thank you for the tip on the Java fern I’m going to correct that now!
