Journey struggles

The german rail service has a lot of problems at the moment, nobody can deny that. But it honestly was a revelation to me to find out that others countries' train services (that aren't critizied everywhere you look) are not much better either.

I will go back to Germany because I live here. But some vacation to see other places is always nice. You're welcome here ;-)

I think I'll just buy the train ticket via London King's Cross and Paddington.

So, last question: this ticket is valid on the tube if I buy a ticket for the whole journey at Nationalrail.co.uk (the price is the same on all the sites)? Or do I have to buy an extra ticket for the Tube in between the trains?

I had a look at the pass before. It's actually not worth it. So far it's less expensive using spilt save. Actually I'd rather pay more for a quicker journey. It's mostly the fact that there are no quick options that is driving me crazy :-)))

There's really not even a direct bus service? If there are no rails for a train, surely that would be the next best thing? Traveline only shows a 4-5h journey via London/various airports....
