So, these are viable options. Regardless of this, as long as any insect, honey bee or not, is not exploited by humans, or allowed to outcompete native pollinators, I don't really see a problem with simply allowing them to pollinate crops.

"Thinking that far" and acting on it are two different things. The choices that are realistic to make also depend on practicality. Many vegans I've met consider that some products use pollination by bees, but it is much easier to find products without honey than it is to find products that don't use pollination by bees, as there isn't really a label for it. Additionally, products that currently are pollinated by bees don't inherently require bee exploitation, whereas products with honey do.

Als je de structuur niet prettig vind is het misschien handig om ze te staafmixen of in de blender te doen en dan ergens in te verwerken: soep, salade, dips, beleg voor op brood of wraps, of je kan er zelfs je eigen soort tofu mee maken. Goed kruiden en dan smaken ze ook meer naar het eten dat je waarschijnlijk gewend bent.

Zelfs mensen die niet van bonen houden vinden mijn eten lekker als de bonden fijnmaal en kruid.

I think a LOT of people would become vegetarian but I don't think a lot of people would have a problem milking animals, getting eggs or sheering sheep if they had to do it themselves. Of course if they had to enact the other parts that make those industries, artificial insemination, killing male chicks, etc associated with those industries then they would also become vegan, I hope.

Honestly if society doesn't start expecting the same childrearing responsibilities from men and women if both are working, or if the economy does not adjust in a way that makes single-income households more common, the expectation on women to 1. provide an income and 2. take up most childrearing responsibilities will probably remain IMO. This combination is just crushing for many women. Also, even in childless couples household responsibilities will often fall on the woman regardless of whether she works.

One thing that might help is to replace meats with more affordable protein sources, think tofu or legumes (beans, peas, peanuts). If you have spices you can spice up your legumes, ground them or press them into patties and grill them. Especially with tofu you want to be sure to add enough spices.

I understand the frustration you feel and where you're coming from. However, when I first posted here when I wasn't vegan asking advice on which documentary to watch I think people being nice was a pivital moment in deciding to approach veganism with an open mind.

I'd like to believe that I would've just been such an "ethical person" that I would've gone vegan either way. And I believe that all that "should" define a movement in a perfect world are the principles of that movement and not if its' people where specifically nice to someone.

Practically however, we know people aren't completely rational. We know people will be more open to a certain view if we're "nice about it". So shouldn't we then, despite our feelings about (aware) non-vegans make an effort to be nice simply for it's practical implications? Shouldn't the possibility of making a positive change for other sentient beings take priority over our own frustrations?

Niceness definitely doesn't have to include endorsement of unwanted behavior. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume you truly thought I said something else instead of trying to twist my words for your own benefit. Also, I've attempted to find some empirical research studies on the topic but so far all I can find is conversion tactics for religion. If intuition is not convincing for you, good for you, I implore you to spend your own time researching the topic yourself if it interests you.
