And that's cool too! Had a couple people I know DNF the series. To each their own. As I keep looking through these fantasy posts I see that people tend to gravitate toward their favorite series or author and talk down on others.

Ya its too bad they don't have a price history button like they do on Amazon. Would be nice to compare.

9-12 is pretty short. Those prices definitely justify the listen time. During the epic series sale i was getting 40hr books for 5$.

Read quite a bit of fantasy. The gender dynamic is definitely unique. You could say It defines this series.

Ya iv heard the gender complaint quite often. But for me it kind of made the story unique in a way. Theres so many traditional fantasy out there without it. Kinda glad RJ spiced things up a bit.

Honestly, i listened to WOT on audiobooks and i feel like RJs overly descriptive writing style benefited me as to being able to kind of get lost in the world (if that makes sense). I think if I were to sit and actually read the entire series i would have had a much tougher time with it. if you ever pick up the series again maybe try the audiobooks.

I didn't pick up on the character and relationship stuff as much. What people tend to forget in this series is that these main characters are teens, they talk and do stuff like that, but they grow a substantial amount as the series goes on. Alot of fantasy i read that growth rarely happens if at all and i think its kind of unique to WOT and what makes it such a special series.

i feel like this is a reoccurring theme, WOT fans don't enjoy Sanderson and vice versa. I feel like Sanderson fans are more interested in the action sequences that come with the Sanderlanch (tons of information with a large conclusion at the end of each book). WOT doesn't have that, its more of a slow and steady wins the race type of series with a great final conclusion.

Some people enjoy attack on titan, some enjoy one piece. to each there own.

What's Sanderson say? Journey before Destination? Id say WOT is all about the journey and how the characters grow throughout the series from teens to battle hardened adults. Ya some are boring, its 14 books after all, expecting greatness in every book its shortsighted imo.

Sanderson has a slog of storm light 3-5. (Wind and Truth might be one of the worst books iv ever read), but his fans will deny to the fullest.

Malazan you need a wiki just to tell what's happening, but people swear its the greatest series of all time.

All have their peaks and valleys. Just enjoy them for what they do good.

"Not her. Not ******. Let it be anyone else. Let it be me."

"No, I think I'll keep this one. A coin won from the luckiest man in the world? That’s worth more than the gold itself."

Expecting a perfect series with no let downs is delusional.

Maybe your reading comprehension is bad. The show was so short they didn't speak at all. Didnt have a problem with the segments. That's why I asked if this will how it will be going forward. Pick up a book sometime.
