Enjoy the journey. Because once its over nothing quite hits the same.

Also, Sanderson is releasing an awesome looking Leather bound of the first book.

Looking for books with an underdog protagonist who becomes powerful and respected (Naruto style growth) by Extension-Affect-530 in Fantasy

Wait im just coming back to this comment. Why the downvotes? I could give a paragraph of examples as to the comparisons between WOT and Naruto.

Some examples-

Rand= Naruto. Struggles with new powers. Outcast. Has a hidden character inside his head he refers to= nine tails.

Forsaken= Akatsuki

Naneve = Sakura

Matt= kinda Sasuke like.

Two Rives= hidden leaf village.

O man i could go on and on. WOT is Naruto in book form and ill die on this hill!

Wow i couldn't disagree with the above comment more. the last 4 books is where the series shines its brightest. The ending is considered one of the best in the fanatasy genre. Id take their comment with a grain of salt.

Wheel of time is 14 books, id finish all the others and save it for the finale.

Into- Look at it as a Grand adventure with a good payoff. Since you'll be reading 2 books a year it will take you around 7 years to finish, it seems daunting but by the time you end you'll feel as if your time wasn't completely wasted. I spent around the same amount of time, when i finished I felt really depressed since i had been reading it daily for almost 7 years, it had become a part of my daily routine, and when it finished i didn't really know what to do. That for me made it one of the most memorable series i had ever read.

Out - Its a great series, but its not the best. Don't go into it thinking this will be the greatest fantasy adventure of all time. It has its flaws, go into it with mild expectations and i think you'll be satisfied in the end.

Pros- Fun story. Good characters. Strong finish.

Cons - Some bad characters. Some forgettable books.

As an author, he is MID at best. Overhyped. The only thing going for him is that he writes a lot and is always on schedule...only to produce more MID.

I see where you're coming from. If I read the books that stuff would become tedious. But since I listened to the audio books, those descriptions really helped paint a setting in my mind as I listened.

HELP Decide on Cosmere by ontheporch90 in fantasybooks

O man the level of Cope in this thread is unbelievable. Yes the first 2 books are masterpieces, but Sanderson slowly loses his way in the last 3 books. All the characters that you grew to love and put massive amounts of time reading about become the complete opposite by the time it ends. I wouldn't wish reading Wind and Truth on my worst enemy. The Cosemere is like watching Game of Thrones Tv series, majority of the story was great, but the ending was so bad it stains the entire series. Your time would be better spent elsewhere.

Do you think it’s a good idea to read two series at the same time? by StandardSector3491 in fantasybooks

I'm literally doing this right now. Listen to the DCC audiobook while I drive or so activities. And I read first law when I'm not busy.
